the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

This was by far the best rate in town. We are not from the area, but went to visit family. We were kinda wary about finding a hotel in a decent part of town. A family member from the area reccommended the Marriott. I searched on various websites to find the "best price" but please save your time and go directly to the Marriott website. They have an awesome program where you can pay in advance for your room at an even lower rate! It's great if you know that your plans aren't going to be cancelled (there are no refunds). The room was great, but a little small. The bed was by far the softest bed I have ever slept on!! The room came with a flat screen TV, microwave, and mini fridge (which is great when you have small children and need food fast!!!) The only complaint that I would make is the "breakfast bar." The hotel has no room service, but they do offer a breakfast buffet for $9.95 per person. It gets a little pricey if you have more than 2 people eating. Especially when McDonald's is right down the road. It would be nice if they offered a complementary continental breakfast, but I guess you can't get everything your way. I would recommend this hotel to all families traveling through this area. They even have a pretty decent indoor pool!!! No sunscreen required! Our family will definitely be staying here again when we return to see family!
