46 reviews for Grand Beach Resort, Orlando
will never set foot there again
By Fil, 05/23/09
Very miss leading pictures of the place .. Their one bedroom suite is a normal hotel room split in a bedroom and a sitting area with a tiny table stove and fridge from the 1960's the burns on the stove were all crooked and unbalanced and the view yeah Power lines and power station. Just what I want on my Holidays. Phone cord fell out of the handset and service man came to fix it then no one could hear when we made calls. Manager did not care to fix the problem so I AM LETTING VERY ONE KNOW NOT TO GO THERE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disgusting Hotel
By Sexy Boricua, 12/10/08
I did not like nothing at that hotel. First the front desk agents are very unpleasent. the supervisors and managers dont care about their guest. Especially Marisol and John.

We loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/08
The place was clean, roomy, and so close to Disney World. We especially liked it when we came in late in the middle of the week and the place was cleaned, towels, soaps, trash bags were replenished. All without extra cost. We also loved the beautiful grounds. We also liked that there are many nice places to eat that is close to the resort. We will return.

Ripped off!!
By Marie, 10/15/08
The rooms themselves were lovely, spacious and clean, however the staff is worthless. It took over an hour and a half to get a simple issue with our keys fixed. They charge a ridiculous fee for the worst wireless connection and the timeshare representatives misled us costing us $130 and wasting a morning. I will never return to this resort and I encourage others to find a better run establishment.

Great family spot
By ChrisS, 09/10/08
We arrived in Orlando in the rain and were in a rush to get to the room. Wow! The room was beatiful and huge. Everything was immaculate and in perfect working order. My kids and wife loved it. Resort is very relaxed, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the pools, playground, and feeding the ducks. The customer service desk offers discounted tickets to local attractions. The grounds are lush and everything is clean. You would never know how close you are to the hustle and bustle of Lake Buena Vista and the surrounding area. When we return to Orlando we will definetely try to stay here again.

Outstanding Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/08
For the most part I truly enjoyed this place... The rooms are large and clean. The location was great. I feel for the money you pay the pool area needs to be open later than 11pm. I also did not like the ammount of telemarketing to the unit from the front desk.

Simply Outstanding Customer Service
By BigWashSr, 09/02/08
There is nothing to dislike about Grand Beach. The service staff and Management teams catered to my family needs from the time we arrived. Unlike other resorts, the personnel at Grand Beach do not "discontinue" the great service once you decide not to purchase a timeshare. They continue to call your room to check on your stay. They actually inquire about you needing anything to help make your stay more comfortable. One thing to mention... The Resort Manager is John Betros. He is phenomenal! I have never been to a timeshare when the resort manager approached me and asked if there was anything he could do for me. Let me give you an example... I was having problems getting my computers on the internet. John had his staff call the internet provider. They had me up and surfing the web within an hour. It is clear to see why John is also the Area Manager for the other Diamond Resorts. John truly provided outstanding customer service. Anytime I come to Orlando, I plan on bringing my family back to Grand Beach Resorts! I also have three friends who are in the process of changing their plans to come here in October.

Urine Stained Mattress
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/08
At about 2:00 a.m after going to sleep my significant other jumped out of bed and started ripping off his sheets while yelling for me to turn on the lights. Not knowing what was going on, as I was sound asleep, I jumped up, and turned on the lights while asking him what was wrong. He told me that he smelled something. He tore back the sheets and under the mattress pad was a huge urine stained mattress. It was so stained that the smell of the urine had permeated through the bedding and onto his arm and head! He ran to the showers while I called the front desk. I spoke with a young woman who took down the information, informed me that she would let management know the following morning and would send up housekeeping. Housekeeping never showed up and my boyfriend and I wound up sleeping on a sofa with one sheet between the two of us! The next morning, I went down to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager on duty. The manager had not been given my message and did not know a thing about what had happened! We did get a new mattress that day with clean sheets but the vacation had already been ruined. I had waited a long time for this trip and I thought I had done my due diligence in researching this resort. I was wrong. Not only was this experience emotionally traumatic but health wise was just horrific. How can a resort be ran in such a manner? I am appalled that someone has not offered a refund of my hard-earned money norI have not been offered even an apology. I can't even get someone to respond to my emails or my telephone calls. I find the way that they handled this to be crude and crass to say the least. Nothing close to what their name implies that they are.

beautiful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/08
we just came back from disney. We used this hotel as guest of someone who had a timeshare. Some of the reviews were not great so i was a little worry. But i have to say the hotel was great. we had a 2 bedroom, master suite is HUGE and the beds are very comfy.Sofa bed was ok for my 8 year old daughter but i don't know if 2 adults would have been confortable. The pool was great after a day at the park. Everything is 15 mn away. Ate a few times at Golden Coral buffet on 192. Cheap and good food. No complains about this resort at all. Loved it !!!
