Grand Beach Resort, Orlando

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and I couldn't believe how nice it was. It obviously isn't as spacious as the 2 or 3 bedroom but it was more than we expected. We had a short two day vacation due to work so we only were able to enjoy one night, but we are definately thinking about taking a longer vacation soon so we can enjoy all the activities that were available at this resort.

WAS NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED.NO ENTERTAINMENT, EVERYTHING IS SHUT DOWN BY 11 PM.PLAN ON RENTING A CAR BECAUSE NOTHING IS IN WALKING DISTANCE.WUOLD NOT STAY AGAIN.PICTURES ARE VERY DECIEVING.A STRIP OF SAND WHICH I DONT CALL A BEACH.

The place was very clean, managed well, friendly/helpful staff and located perfectly. The pictures don't do it justice. We were very pleased and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Very impressed

We arrived late at night, the staff was pleseant and the check in was very quick. When we walked into our 3 bedroom unit we were pleasently surprised at how spacious it was and how many bathroom it had (3). The unit in building 5 was fantastic-tv's maybe could be updated, but we were not there to watch TV. Close to Sea World and Disney. We never needed to rent a vehicle because it was cheaper by cab and almost as effiecient. We have stayed at other resorts in Orlando and this resort has had the best rooms. Other than checking in and out we did not have much contact with other staff so I cannot say to much about the service. Time share presentation was mentioned, but by no means was it pressured to attend. Next time we go to Orlando, we will go back to this resort.

Spacious and very nice. Two master suites was a BIG plus ! Lots of room, lots of space and the screened in deck was awesome and spacious ! Clean, easy access to everything and helpful concierge desk.

The hotel was pretty, clean, nice. No pressure for the time share pitch, just a simple invitation. The rooms were gorgeous, king size beds & jacuzzi tubs in two rooms! The 2nd night there was a party until 3:00 am. The front desk did not answer the phone. I had to get dressed and walk several buildings to get to the locked front office. After knocking and ringing the bell for some time the door was politely answered. When I returned to the room, security was already there. The party noise was over. The noise of wooden furniture legs on tile floor continued non-stop throughout the night. MY family awoke as zombies, even after using ear plugs! At 7:30 am when I got up to bring the bags to the car the elevator was blocked by a vertical washer dryer combo that I had to move to use the elevator. When I complained to the front desk, they told me I need to speak with getaroom.com. I contacted getaroom, they tell me I need to to to the hotel! ARGH!

We stayed in Building 2 in room 235. it had the best view of all. The staff was amazing. The villas and i had two, was very clean and equiped. The theme parks were close and going shopping was even closer. We had the best time in a long time and coming from New York, you need a break from the fast life. i would go back to the Grand beach resort anytime. Thanks to the staff.

We stayed in Bldg 2 in a 2br/2ba and our relatives stayed in Bldg 7 in a 3br/3ba. Ours had slightly smaller roms overall but was newer - flat screen tv's (3), new appliances, furniture, capret, etc., theirs was bigger but older - both were clean and well maintained. We did unplug the house phone to avoid calls from the concierge and refused the timeshare presentation, although our relatives (who own the timeshare we stayed on) went and ended up buying another week in AZ. The staff were friendly and eager to please as evidenced by a 10pm service call about a leak under the sink by my BIL. They came within 5 minutes, pulled the garbage disposal, and replaced all the pipes and garbage disposal and were gone by 10:45. The pools were well kept, as were the BBQ areas, which we used extensively. We brought our own WiFi, based on reviews by others regarding cost and with 4 vehicles present we kept my son's BMW bracketed to avoid door dings. We also went against reviews and went to the Lobster Feast and although the lobsters were previously frozen, as most seafood is, we enjoyed ourselves and got our money's worth out of it. This place is one exit away from Seaworld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, and only 3 or 4 exits from Universal, etc. We did not do Disney this trip but it was closer than the rest. The only thing I would have liked was a carpet sweeper to use between maid visits (3 days). The stacked washer/dryer came in handy for towels and bathing suits since the humidity was in the high 70's and nothing would dry. This place was not the Hilton, but it was homey and comfortable - we have stayed in a few other timeshare places similar to this in Orlando - and liked this one the most by far.

We just came back from this resort and were quite happy with it. We stayed in a building that had just been refurbished and it was very nice. We had a 1 bedroom unit that was quite nice, although next time I would upgrade to a 2 bedroom just for the extra space if our daughter came to stay with us for a few days, as she did this time. Desk staff was nice and very quick to resolve any issues that came up. It would be a great place to stay if you are going to Disney World, other than that there isn't much to do on the premises other than the pools. There isn't a beach along the lake, which was a bit disappointing. The other negative is that I don't understand why Diamond doesn't provide guests with free wireless access. Every other chain motel in the vicinity has it, it's time for Diamond to step up. We will most likely come back when we bring our grandkids to Disney World.
