Bon Aire Resort Motel, St Pete Beach

Great place with good beach bar food and rooms close to the beach and pool. This was our favorite place as kids 40 years ago when vacationing from the midwest. Moved here recently and was thrilled to see the big neon BonAire sign still lit up and alive and well. It's great to see that some clean, fun, and simple things still remain after all these years!

The Bon Aire is yes, old, and has sturggled through this tough economy, but it is a great place to stay. Sure, everyone gets a staffmember that is having a bad day sometimes, but you cant let that ruin your stay.. I actually live right across the street from the Bon Aire and frequent the Tiki Bar with my guests and consider them my "spare bedroom". I would recommend this place to anyone and it is much more personable then the larger resort style hotels on the beach. Don't forget Freebbeachrides.com, either, they eill take you anywhere you need to go along the beach for a TIP. That's it. A TIP. Very convienent.. Love this town, come visit!

Rooms spotless, staff friendly and accommodating, location convenient, pools warm and inviting, the beach couldn't be better, what more is there to say. This is not the newest motel on St. Pete Beach but we hardly noticed.

OK, Lets talk about the beach bar. The hamburgers and food are really good. Yet there is a drawback. They BEACH BAR STAFF have two menu's. One for "tourist visiting" and one for the "Locals". The prices can vary from $5.50 for a hamburger to $7.50. and .75 cent difference for a daft beer. BEWARE! PAY AS YOU GO AND ASK PRICES BEFORE YOU ORDER! We where shocked at the second visit. After the bill was presented we where given the explanation that a " old menu " had somehow resurfaced and was incorrected. That we where bounded by "law" to the "actual" prices. OK, the third time the same exzact thing happened. We paid the bill and reporeted them to the STATE. Good food but BEWARE! they will try to rip you every chance they get. - golow00

Although the front desk service is not all that great, this place is the best on the beach for the price! We've been going to this motel every year during the holidays and any weekend get away that we can get for over 7 years. It is such a great family oriented motel, you never feel unsafe. It is almost always very peaceful and relaxing since you are right on the beach and since it isn't a "Teenager" hangout. It's great! I recommend it to everyone.

Love that it's not a high rise, they can have that!! Rooms are older, but clean great access to the beach, 2 pools not to mention for beachfront, great bargain. Tiki bar is great and friendly, at night everybody has fun and gets to know each other have met a few people there, not like some stuffy resorts. If you want fun and relaxation this is your place and it as never been a retirement resort when we have been there, hope you can keep up!! Thanks Bon Aire!!

the caliber of the clientele at this beach motel was frightening. Lots of smokers, tatoos, and trailer trash. Yikes! Beach Bar serves great food though!

Bon Aire Resort has always been our home away from home...This year will be our twenty second time going to our paradise. We enjoy the accomidations, the stores nearby and best of all, THE BEACH. The staff is outstanding...We have never had any problems. If we needed something corrected;they were always taken care of in a timely manner. We appreciate having a wonderful carefree vacation at Bon Aire each year. Peg/Carl

Love the outdoor entry to each room. no stuffy elevators or main entrances. No sand dunes between suites and the beach. front door of your room could be thirty feet from beach!decent grills and a tiki bar with good food also. Very relaxing and enjoyable with a price that is affordable.

We have been going to the Bon Aire for more than 15 yrs and always enjoy it.Stayed at other places before on St. Pete Beach but once I found the Bon Aire it's the only place we go.Wait 25 mins for a drink-never.The bar does get busy because people staying close by come here for GOOD food and drinks. Over priced food and drinks-hardly.All the people I've sent have said they would go back.Give it a try and you would probably go back too. I'm looking forward to my next visit.I've been there several times the last 2 years.It's a clean and safe place to stay.
