Why would you continue to saty there ?
By lindacruiser, 07/09/09
I just read a review of this hotel. It said it sucks, and describes the horrible conditions that was experienced. SO, WHY WOULD YOU CONTINUE TO STAY THERE FOR 4 nights??????? I would have left after the very first problem.

This hotel SUCKS.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/09
I came here for a week with my two daughters after they attended their orientation at the UW. When we checked in, the woman behind the desk was extremely rude. When I complained about her to another staff member later that night, he told me to "cool my jets." I then went to the front desk and told them the name of the man who tod me to "cool my jets," and all they did was pretend to write his name down and tell me they'd take care of it. When we were on our way to our room, there was a huge pile of vomit in the hallway and we could smell it from the elevators. I called to request it be cleaned up, but it took nearly 4 hours to respond. The second night, a family with a dog checked into the room next to us. The dog barked and barked and barked all night long, and I called and complained several times but nothing was taken care of. One morning I heard something at the door, and when I answered it, the dog was sitting out there with it's tongue hanging out, all alone. I knocked on the door next to us to return it, but they were not there. I escorted the dog to the front desk and they took itrr off my hands. I confronted the dog's family later that evening, and they were extrememly stand-offish and told me to mind my own business. After this enounter, I called to complain, but I was put on hold and ignored. On the 4th night, there was more vomit. But on the elevator this time. My daughters didn't seem to be bothered by this, however I an completely disgusted. It was still there the next morning. I called to complain and it was taken care of immediately, for once. That night there were people partying in the hallway and the elevator hallway. OLne of my daughters went out to see what was going on, and she claimes that the men were very sexual to her and tried to lure her into their activites. I was extremely upset and went out there and told the partiers that I would report them if they were sill out there in 5 minutes. Sure enough, they were, and I called and complained, and it was taken care of. On the last morning, one of my daughters accidentally knocked over a lamp in the lobby. She came back to the room, like nothing had happened, but I got a call to the room from the front desk about 5 minutes later saying that she had knocked over a very expensive lamp and that they had tracked her via camera to the room, and that the charge would be added to our bill. I was extremely angry. The location sucks. Downtown Seattle is pretty, and the PPM is great, but te noise was ridiculous. There are many homeless people hanging out in and around the hotel, and because of this I would not let my daughters roam alone. If you are lookig for a firey slice of hell to sleep in, I reccomend the Hotel Monaco. It's basically a college dormitory.

Room too HOT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/07
We did not like the Hotel Monaco. We like our room cool. We set the thermosat to 60 degrees for sleeping and the room stayed at a constant 73 degrees. The bed was lumpy and not level. The toilet paper was single ply and cheap. Neither my husband or I slept during the night. I do not recommend this establishment.

Best hotel in downtown Seattle
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/07
Fantastic rooms. Nice touches. Excellent example of what a boutique hotel should be. Only downside is a bit pricey. Nice place to stay for a special trip or event.
