Don't ask for an iron...
By KimC, 10/11/08
The room was clean and basically met our expectations. Yet, our clothes were wrinkled from being in the suit case and there was not an iron in our room. We went to the front desk to get one and the woman behind the counter told us that they didn't have any irons availble. We asked if she could get one from another room but she explained she could not leave the counter and we would need to find someone in housekeeping and ask them to get us one. I finally found someone and they told me to check with the front desk :-/ Needless to say I didn't get an iron nor did I feel I should have been the person trying to track one down.

homely stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/07
it is under new management since Jan.07 as one saff member told us. considerable improvement and rooms are up graded. hair dryer, coeffe pot, comfy pillows etc. though wireless internet claimed, was difficult to login. staff went out of way to loan me dsl cable and i could use high speed internet. i would recommend this motel any time. will go back. breakfast could be better.

Our Dallas home away from home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/07
Very clean and friendly. We asked for a king non-smoking and that is what we got; no residual 2nd hand smoke. The frig worked well and the coffee pot adequate. Basic hairdryer at sink. The continental breakfast included coffee, juice, cereals, pastries, toast, and fresh fruits. Good shower and very hot water. Average hotel towels, but I always take my own anyway. Room was spacious and comfortable. Overall, I would say it was equal to the average La Quinta and Holiday Inn. Great value for the money. Family owned and operated. Building and grounds, parking lot are all well maintained. Nice area to sit in the lobby and watch tv if you get "cabin fever" while waiting for someone. Free USA TODAY paper. Iron available upon request, boards in the room. Extra pillows in the room. All pillows were fluffy and comfy! In room hot tub available, but we haven't tried that room yet! I would like to see them add: 1. a power door on the entrance to make it easier to enter with luggage. 2. Waffle maker and yogurt added to the breakfast. 3. Second chair for sitting in the room.

HORRIBLE HOTEL, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/04
Reserved a room here a few days before evacuating for Hurricane Ivan, arrived there after a 10 hour drive to find my room rented out and only one other avaliable room that I was going to be charged double for. Then was expected to wait another 2 hours for a manager because I requested to get the available room for my reservation price. I then had to fight to find another room at another hotel for almost double the price of my reserved room. Not to mention this Hotel was not suppost to charge my credit card just use it for reservation purposes and my card was charged for the date they rented out the room plus the 2 other days. And I was told regardless my card would only be charged after we checked out, and it was charged before I was even suppost to check in.
