Best time ever!
By ,
My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and we were treated like royalty. The staff went out of their way to tend to our every need. We could not have been more impressed by their service as well as attention to detail. The Pointe Restaurant is the greatest. There was nothing on the menu that we did not try. Some people may say that it's costly but we say, if you want the best, you have to pay for it. Here you get the best of the best.

Better service at a Super 8
By ,
Beautiful location, lovely accommodations, crap service. My fiance and I booked the wedding package, expecting from our conversations with the wedding planner and the internet description a fantastic experience. The room was great, spa services phenomenal. However, in all other aspects customer service was appalling, absolutely not worth the 5-star price. We sent our ceremony clothes to the laundry the day before to be pressed, and didn't check that it had been done properly (assuming they would know how to use an iron). 30 min before the ceremony, my husband to be put on his trousers and found, not a single crease at the front and back as expected, but about 6 different creases running up and down the legs, none on centre, as if they had been ironed by a troop of ADHD monkeys. Panicked, we sent them back, called down to our families, JOP and photographer to tell them we'd be late. My dress was creased too, but no worse than after it had come out of the car after a 5 day camping trip. They brought the pants back 45 mins later, we had the ceremony on the beach, fine. The wedding package offers the wedding cake with the "romantic turndown" - that night, no cake! Whatever, we were tired, we'd fix it tomorrow. Next day, told them of the problem, after much checking to make sure we weren't lying and trying to score 2 cakes, they promised to bring it up that night. Sure enough, it was on the table. Great! No plates or cutlery. Is it more romantic to eat it with your hands? Call down, they brought up forks and plates. No apologies, no offer to make it up. We complained to the 16-year olds at the desk, talked with some kind of manager, but the wedding planner we never saw again after that initial meeting - she was conveniently out of the office. We suggested they comp our extra night's stay to amend nearly ruining our wedding. They don't do that, but offered to send us something special in the mail. 8 weeks later, we got a CD of pan pipe music. You know, the sort you find in the $1.99 bin at HMV? I guess that made it all ok.

Surreal setting, great people, unbelievable food and spa. The inn is close to town and with so many things to do the good times didn't stop. We fell in love.

Dining disaster at the Wikaninnish Inn
By ,
A recent visit to the Wikaninnish Inn with friends included 2 separate meals on two days with three resultant cases of food poisoning. When advised of the problem the sympathetic management offered to delete the cost of the food for one person's meal for one of the two days. It can be said that we were foolish to return for the second meal, but in truth we simply assumed it was a random and unconnected event. As Ian Fleming might have remarked, once happenstance, twice coincidence, three times enemy action. The haughty and unconciliatory response of management who are charging premium rates for mediocre cuisine guarantees that we will seek more local and safer fare next time.

Honeymoon memories
By ,
Spent three nights here for our honeymoon. Incredibly romantic setting. Accomodations could have had more elbow room but provide incredible views of the ocean and coastline. Charming town with enough to keep you occupied during the day (or night). I could have spent all evening in the restaurant enjoying the food and scenery. This hotel is perfectly simple and sophisticated on some of the most gorgeous land in the Western hemisphere. Could not more highly recommend this inn.

Paradise
By ,
I can't say enough about this Inn. We stayed here in the newest building for a few nights this winter. The staff was outstanding, going out of their way to make you comfortable. Beyond the location, georgeous views, the amazing ammenities inside and outside your room, the extras, like the turn down service in the evening complete with a hand-written note of the following day's temperatures and high and low tide times and the full rain gear, is what makes this inn the absolute best. Beyond the facilities, the food at the point resturant will exceed expectations. Dishes like beet salad may sound boring, but I promise you, no taste or texture is overlooked in any dish.

A Perfect Getaway
By ,
We decided on the spur of the moment to head out to Tofino and storm watch. We were delighted with the Inn, it was the perfect place to be during a mighty storm. Our room was spotless, perfectly situated for the view, and we enjoyed the soaker tub and fireplace all weekend. The biggest attraction at the Inn is the people, all went above and beyond our expectations, and were more than happy to be sure we were happy and content during our stay. On top of that we found people to be friendly, cheerful and personable. The people, the view, the beach and the food are outstanding. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely Amazing!!!
By ,
We had searched high and low for the perfect destination for our honeymoon. After literally months of sifting through information on location after location, hotel after hotel, we thought that we had finally found it but even so, we had no idea that what we were about to experience would go so completely beyond our every expectation! As we arrived at the Wickanninish, we were greeted by an amazing staff. We have never been made to feel so at home at a hotel! Our room stunned us to silence with the 270 degree view of the ocean and the incredible attention to detail. The service was impeccable, and the amenities were astounding. Everything was absolutely amazing! There are just too many wonderful things to say about the Wickaninnish Inn to possibly fit them all into this review ... but if you ever have the chance to go, dont miss out!!

I'll be back next year
By ,
Understated elegance. Beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service, very good food. And best of all a spectacular setting. One of the finest inns/hotels I have ever stayed in.

An amazing experiance...
By ,
The Wickaninnish Inn is the nicest place I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and come with so many nice touches. The bathroom itself its just stunning with beautiful rock and tile lining the massive bathtub.

The setting is also amazing, the beach is long and peaceful and the woods surrounding the Inn give it a very secluded feel. The restuarant is simply magnificent. Although a meal there costs about a night at the Inn (which is really saying something) the food and wine list are outstanding and the service and view for the dining room out over the Pacific is sensational.

If you are travelling to the Tofino area and dont mind paying a large sum for an amazing experiance, the Wickaninnish is the perfect choice.
