Stay there all the time

We have stayed in every motel around there and found the Cottontree to be the best. The staff is friendly, they are dog friendly (I have a service dog, so I appreciate that). I like the pool with the deeper water because I hate little kids splashing all over me. There are only 2 flaws with the place...the mattress is really hard, and the coffee sucks. I slept on the couch (not made into a bed) and that was really comfortable. I love having a balcony room as well, my dog loves to sit out there and watch people too. It's close to everything we need when we come to Utah, which is quite often. In fact, I am making reservations for next week, and was just there last week. Go figure.

Nice price, didn't like pool

I enjoyed staying in the Cotton Tree. Nice price for a comfortable stay and central location to shopping. My only complaint was that I had young children but the pool's shallow end is 5 ft. The pool does stay open all night but isn't necessarily and ideal depth for young children. Other than that is was pretty nice.

The best place to stay

This was one of the most satisfactory experience our friends have had in a long, long time. We will continue using this motel whenever we are in the vicinity for overnight stays. We are a bunch of bowlers that go to state tournaments every year. We shall recommend the Best Western Cottontree Inn to anyone staying in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

A great place to stay!

This hotel was such a great value! The hotel staff was so polite and willing to help! The breakfast was free and delicious! They had a 24 hour pool which was great for us. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a good value for their money. I will stay with the CottonTree everytime we visit Salt Lake City. EXCELLENT! I was so impressed!

Good value

We stayed here for a 4 night ski trip in Mar 06. Our primary objective was to get something clean & not that expensive in close proximity of the slopes. CottonTree Sandy fits the profile. For breakfast (included in our rate) they offered a good variety of choices. The rooms & pool area are clean, staff is helpful and friendly, and the neighbourhood good. An extra level of comfort was added by the fact that many of the guests seemed to be families with children on a ski trip, just like us. There are several restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Three of them are just next/behind it, with others in the mall nearby (10 minutes walk or less) . On the minus side, it seemed a bit noisy. The faucets, the toilet flush, the bathroom ventilator - in your room or the neighbouring ones - you hear them all. So if you are looking for place of total quietness, this is not it (but you may need to pay for a 4 or 5 star). On the plus side, a computer & printer are available in the lobby for any guests that would like to do some web-surfing. We loved it overall. I rate it excellent not because it is perfect, but because it delivers a very good value for a 3 star hotel. We will consider it for future trips.

Our room wasn't complete ready when we checked in, and not made up when we came back from a day of skiing and needing to flop. Wireless internet did not work in the room as advertised, but it was reliable in the lobby (but that can't be used in pajamas). Awful scrambled eggs. But for the price we paid I really should have no complaints. I'd stay there again.

Great Time in Sandy, Utah

Beautiful location, great scenery. Staff was very helpful, nice free breakfast. Good workout room and pool area. Many restaurants and mall very close by. Good shopping! I'm planning on staying here again soon. Excellent!!

Great views, great eats

Impressive view of the mountains from all sides. Minutes from outlet shopping and the hghway. Spacious rooms with microwave and fridge. Awesome hot breakfast buffet, daily. This was probably most impressive. Got a great discount due to business affiliation, but the standard price seems great for the amenities offered.
