Best Hotel Ever ! (Sarcasm, Sarcasm, Sarcasm)
By Trish, 6/12/11
When I first arrived, I went to check in and was told no rooms were available. I was told to check back in an hour. As I sat in the lobby, I noticed that other people were coming in and they were being checked in. After an hour of looking at this I went to a different employee. I explained that I tried to check in earlier and was told to check back. She asked, "Did she check you in?" When I said, "No." She and another employee looked at each other and shook their heads. She then apologized and asked for my ID and a credit card and she proceeded to check me in. She even requested a rush on a room and she informed me that should a room become available earlier, she would inform me. She then offered to bring me my room key when the room was ready. It took 15 minutes tops. I thanked her and went to my room. Imagine my surprise when within 5 minutes security is knocking on my door. When I opened the door, security (she) looked me up and down and then asked if I needed help with my safe. Huh? What an incredible waste of manpower for security to go to every new guest within 5 minutes of their check in to ensure that they can lock a safe! Apparently, my presence here is questionable. Well let me clear up the confusion; I am here at the invitation of the College Board to do a Webinar on teacher evaluation. Oh, by the way, I am African-American. I am dressed appropriately so I am confused as to why I am worthy of extra scrutiny.

Worst hotel stay ever.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/23/11
Well to be honest they are nice and pretty on the outside. But on the inside they are full of issues... disrespect... and lies... I was actually hurt the 1st day of me and my girlfriends stay in the shower because it was left in a dilapidated state and not marked it was broken and that the hot water was messed up and got too hot and you could not turn it off. And after that i called the frost desk and the staff made a report of it and laughed when i told them what happened. And i thought it was very unprofessional to do such a thing after being burned with scalding hot water for 15 seconds. The manager said he was going to contact me and try and give us a few perks for the remainder of our stay for the whole thing happening. But he never called back and when i called him back he ignored my phone calls and i still have yet to have him call me back for that and the other issues we had while staying there. The Direct TV was out the entire time we where there. So late at night there was nothing to do but just sit there... We couldn't enjoy any shows or anything. Thank god i had my laptop with us and i had some movies on there that i paid for through a digital movie rental place. And not to mention while outside trying to take photo's one of the hotel security staff screamed at me and told me to stop and tried to drag me off the hotel property and said that i need to leave now because no pictures are aloud to be taken outside of the hotel. And i asked how? So he showed me a clip board that said "Suspicious people are not aloud to take photo's and must be removed off hotel grounds" So after telling him i was a guest at the hotel and told him my room number he said "Really? You are a guest?" And i said. Yes i am staying here. He said "I dont find that very likely" and he continued to try and kick me off hotel grounds. So i went back in and tried to report that once again like all the other issues we had when we where there. And like everything else. Nothing was done about anything. So to be honest we will never stay there again. Those issues are the kind of issues you would expect to see a a red roof inn or one of the cheap hotel's. Now that i think about it you would not see those issues at a red roof inn. So in closing. Save your self the trouble and go elsewhere. There are far more hotels in the Boston area then the Seaport Hotel. And you will get the respect you deserve. And you will be treated good and not as if you are just a bag of money and once you pay they could care less what happens to you or how you stay is. Makes me sick every time i think about our stay there.

Not all it is cracked up to be
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/21/09
overly priced, noisy rooms, bad location. Service was ok. It was clean, however. I attended the Seafood show. I expected 4 diamond service and was like 3 diamond hotel. It is the Ritz or 4 Seasons. Just a convention hotel in a location that is FAR away from all the fun things that Boston offers. Next time, I will stay in Back Bay! They advertise it being on the water and it is but your view id dirty Boston Harbor and you can even see the hotel and planes taking off from the airport from your room.

Ok but Stayed in better while in Boston
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/15/09
The hotel is very clean and appears to have been renovated. Room was smaller than expected, and all I could hear was toilets flushing from other rooms. The hotel is no close to anything in Boston and is actually in South Boston and not Boston itself. Overall, I give it 3 diamonds. I do not think I would stay there again. Nice staff, however.

Conference at the Seaport World Trade Center
By Kos, 7/16/08
The hotel was better than expected. Our room was bigger than expected most likely because it was a handicapped accessible room (lucked out with that one). The staff was helpful. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was really good. The location is pretty far away, but not too far to walk. We walked all the way to North End and it wasn't that big of a deal. Taxi's and the Subway are right there as well. If you are heading to the airport the subway is just one stop away and big savings over the Taxi. You can also take a water shuttle to the airport and/or city. Also I heard they have a full size indoor pool. A few restaurants near bye like the Barking Crab and Mortons Steak house. There also is a Bank of America concert hall really close. One downside was there are just 4 elevators which can get full quickly during the busy hours of the day, or if a convention is letting out. Overall, I would stay there again.

I Don't recommend for Conferences
By John Beagle, 2/22/08
They were very unprofessional and the hotel is very overated and expensive. The location was not close to anything in walking distance. The sales and catering staff was unfriendly and unccoperative. We were having a conference at the hotel and when we asked to have special AV equipment delivered to the conference, there was a major problem. Seems the hotel only lets their recommended AV company provide equipment.

Wonderful Hotel Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/07
The rooms were a bit small but well decorated and very clean. The beds were very comfy. I love the staff at this hotel! I traveled for business to Boston with my good friend and 1 year old son. The reservation staff helped to organize everything so that stay would be as close to home as could be. They put a microwave, refrigerator and crib in our room at no cost. They allowed us to use a DVD player for one night free of charge. The maid staff were always very courteous and helpful. But most of all the bellhops were just the best. They helped me in and out of cabs with my son, stroller and packages-- always with a smile and often with some small trinket for my son. What a great place to stay in Boston! I'll be back!

Nice but noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/16/07
The rooms are spacious, clean and nice, but it seems they really skimped on the insulation in this hotel. You can clearly hear people in the hall and neighboring rooms, even if they aren't being particularly loud.
