Before i went to stay i read some reviews and im going to tell u i was a little afraid of wat i was going to experience on my vacation days at the resort (im from PR) all i can say is im a regular person i dont need Super Service, Ice on a flash or New towels every half hour, all i can say i went there i took my luggage to my room y went and got ice for my self by the way it was so close to me it would be ridiculous to call room service, in the morning the was a lady cleaning the room and i didnt need No Room Service it was clean all i needed was Towels,Then i went to hav breakfest it was awsome, then i was with my kids all day at the wonderful pool , during the night i was with my wife till 1:30 in the morning and it was like 3:00 pm people having fun everywhere at the casino, hallways or dancing with the music in front of the casino or at the lounge were they had merengue, bachata, and soft music, i was there drinking in the outside bar with a nice bartender, the last day i was talking with a nice security guy his name was Isaac Gonzalez (o by the way they hav security guards in every corner that i think its wonderful for everyone) to resume my experience was for me PERFECT wat else can i say.

Let’s start with the pros because the pros may outweigh the cons for some but for this traveler, the cons are reason enough to stay away! Pros: The new pool is absolutely beautiful. If the attention and detail that was paid to the pool area was translated to the rest of the “resort,” this review would be glowing. The Veranda bar area is also beautiful and makes you feel like you are in a tropical locale. The “resort” also offers free buffet-style breakfast in the on-premises restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! Do not miss out on the oatmeal which is superior to any other (and I am not even an oatmeal fan) or the white cheese, guava paste and wide assortment of tropical fruits. The breakfast buffet is a great lead-in into the cons. Cons: Our first day at breakfast was August 3, 2009. The maître de who seated us was very polite. However, we had a younger, tall gentleman who was going around the room serving coffee. First, trying to get his attention was impossible. Second, when he did come to serve coffee and we asked for separate milk, not realizing that it was Spanish coffee that required hot milk to be poured in by him, he stormed off and literally almost threw the cold mike on the table. From the beginning he never uttered “hello” or “you’re welcome” after we repeatedly said “thank you.” It became a game to us to say “thank you” and wait for his response. On the second day he “turned” nice when he was given a tip which was only given to solicit a response from the otherwise stone-faced waiter. Notably, he was very friendly to Puerto Ricans who were speaking Spanish, which I speak and understand. Thankfully, it must have been his days off for the remainder of our four-day stay. Unfortunately, this waiter was only continuing the not-so-friendly behavior of those at the front desk. I am not certain what the criteria for a resort is but this is just a hotel with a pool, restaurant and casino. The front-desk staff, depending on who was there always had a different answer to the question “Do I need to keep the wrist-band on?” They will tag you with a neon colored wrist band for entrance to the pool when you check in or does it have to be on at all times? Who knows, they each have a different answer. We did not want to tour the island with the neon colored band. This is not a Disney resort. Everyone was very nasty. Even when you went to the front desk to have it removed, they did not keep track of it or write down what room you were staying in. However, you’ll want to stay in the reception desk area because the hallways, including the veranda are open air in the sweltering heat and you’ll sweat to death by the time you get to your car! The west needs to head to San Juan and take some lessons in customer service. To top it off, the rooms need to be updated. Were they expecting little people? The height of the sinks in the bathrooms are abnormally low. Our room was never vacuumed the entire time. To top it off, we saw and killed a roach in the bathroom! These rooms need a makeover. While they’re at it, hire a contractor who doesn’t paint on the mirror in the bathroom. Whoever painted last was super sloppy. In sum, if this is the best that the west has to offer, the west is in big trouble!

i must say me and my family loved it.first and foremost i got a casino rate ,which helped inmensely.the ammenities are great.they have a water park to say the least.great for kids.the 3 million dollar park they promote is truly amazing.you figure if you go to a real water park you will end up paying more, but without the stay.the food in their restaurant is worth every penney.im looking forward on staying again.

Not the best in the west thats for sure. you pay a lot of money for not a lot. the casino is small as a gas station in las vegas. and no beach the closeest beach is 30 min. away and when you go. You will think why didn't I stay down here!! the people are great just like all the people there. the management need some work. not so nice.

I love the atmosphere, the entertaiment was also with live music for dancing, tables were set up for drinking or socializing. The rooms were very comfortable and the maid service provided was very good.Parking your car was easy you could park your car or valet parking was available.

if this is supposed to be the best in the west, i was so disappointed. The ice machines didn't work and couldn't get room service. We called for room service at 10:30 but still at 11 we were trying to place an order. May try it again since they gave us 20% off but very disappointed.

I was very impressed with the dining and wining experience. Superb service and all staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms (I was told) were newly furnished with everything. Very comfortable. Cigar-friendly areas. Beautiful terrace bar. No real dilike for this hotel.
