Pretty Good, but need improvement on consideration to guests.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly, i.e. bringing us coffee in the morning while sitting outside. Location was very convenient to freeways, airport, and restaurants (thankfully), and the mall(which unfortunately closed on Sunday).
Big disappointment was, as I already mentioned to the hotel in person (the person at the desk just shrugged) and by e-mail, I had a problem with food service.
The problem was that one of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because of the restaurant and bar on-site. I have been here before and again it was good food; however, due to their Easter brunch on Sunday, they closed the restaurant and bar at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday evening. Additionally, the Easter brunch was never mentioned to me until I arrived and I was informed that they were booked solid. I informed the hotel in my e-mail them that I thought this was rude. I made reservations at least two months ahead of time, and they could have mentioned the brunch. Although expensive at $28.00 per person, I would had my entire family, 10-20 people there for the brunch. We were searching for a holiday brunch before we arrived. My wouldn't they have reserved at least a block of spaces for their guests, before taking public reservations? I was very upset about the closed restaurant and bar early on Saturday and no brunch on Sunday. I'm not that I would return because of this. Again, I was a paying guest, and felt snubbed by this. As guests, all hotel services were not available to us! While it has been only a day since I sent he e-mail, I have not yet heard a response from The Heathman Lodge regarding my
