Hilton Colon Guayaquil, Guayaquil

This is my fourth time staying at the Hilton in Guayaquil and I was surprised at how many new things have been added to this already outstanding property. Since my last visit 18 months ago they have renovated their spa and gym, added two new restaurants; Sal & Pimmienta a casual deli/bistro and Terrua Wine Lounge which serves small tapas dishes with the city’s best wine selections. The hotel will be unveiling the newly designed Atrium Bar in May which was not open during my stay in April. The Atrium Bar is a great place to have a drink and people watch. I give the hotel five stars because it has six choices for restaurants under one roof as well as a few high end retail shops, a bank and a few travel agencies. The entire property is well designed and the outdoor pool and bar is extremely inviting. When I stay at the Hilton Colon I always book an Executive Suite. These rooms give you access to the 9th floor executive lounge which serves free breakfast, a free afternoon tea and has a free happy hour. The executive lounge also has two Internet PC’s , tables and couches for casual meetings and a flat screen TV to catch up on the news. The food, service and cleanliness is outstanding as well as the comfort that the hotel has a strong security staff. This hotel is frequented by the President and Vice President of Ecuador and International political officials and stars. On this trip the VP of Ecuador stayed 4 days at the hotel. I would recommend the Hilton Hotel in Guayaquil to anyone who wanted affordable luxury and choice when they visit Guayaquil. Compared to hotel prices in the US, the rates are a bargain when you consider all the amenities offered to guests.

Nothing bad to say, nothing great to say. Very average, but the price was right. Probably a great place to stay compared to other hotels in the city.

On our way to Quito, Ecuador; we were re routed to Guayaquil due to the bad weather at Quito's airport, and we were not able to land, so landed in Guayaquil's airport instead, American Airlines had everything ready for us, to spend a night at the Hilton Hotel in Guayaquil. Our shuttle was waiting for us, outside of the airport, the lobby is huge and we all love the service, and the cleanliness but I personally like the most was the food, Congratulations Hilton Guayaquil. The city is located on the ecuadorean coast about an hour from Salinas, a beautiful beach near by, Guayaquil has a renovated downtown area and a wonderful Scenic boardwalk, and tourist info is available at the front desk

I enjoyed every sec. of staying.....Guayaquil is so exciting...I had no idea you could have so much fun outside the states....it was warm and very much like Colombia...full of beautiful women....I will def. go back next summer and stay at this very hotel....que Bellesa!!!

It is a beautiful Hotel, but is not family oriented, it was all busines. The reason we decided to stay there was so my little girl will swim in the pool; wich is very beautiful and clean, but when my parents who live in Guayaquil came to see the baby swiming, the attendant wanted to charge them $9 dollar each to enter the area, even though they were not going to swim what I thought was an insult, considering I was a Guest and they were my parents. The hotel does not have a coffe station like nice Hotels offer coffe without cost this one not, and when we wanted to pay for it we could not get it anywhere.

The first impression of this nice hotel is the magnificent lobby and its panoramic elevators that bring life to the hotel itself, not only for the architectural designs but also for the friendly service as soon as you walk in, everyone greets you and welcome to the hotel, which is unsual in Southamerica. The rooms are spotless, when we went out and enjoy our day the ladies did a terrific job putting everything back to "Normal" again lol we are a bit messy so everything looks the way that it was when we got there. Great tours and good location 5 minutes to the airport even better, free shuttle was available runs every 30 minutes or at the guest request the shuttle bus is ready anytime, they were there to pick us up on and from our way to the Galapagos Islands and Quito as well. Loved..!!!

I just came from the galapagos islands on my way to Spain. We had to stay in guayaquil for a day. The hotel has a great infraestructure, we choose between 5 restaurants and the breakfast at the cafe is the best buffet I ever had. If yo go to guayaquil, even if you dont stay in this magnificent hotel, you should tried. The room I stayed had a large plasma display and a variety of tv channels more than other places I have been the bed was great, no noise, clean bathroom excellent showers and and most of all friendly staff,specially at the executive launge.

We had been traveling around Southamerica, and we never expirience a beatiful hotel in the whole extension of its word until we reach Guayaquil, the expirience was delightful, the service provide for us excellent, the people very cheerful and nice, the food delicious, the room so nice and beatiful, the location the best....We would love to be in this hotel again, I would recommend it to anybody who wants to know Guayaquil simply as its best.

This is a grat hotel! I love this Place. WE stayed a week and have never had a better time in Ecuador. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice placee to stay.
