Econo Lodge, Florida City

Ok , this hotel looks nice for a Econolodge.They have a pool but it is placed oddly right in the middle of the front parking lot. You enter the rooms from halls off the lobby... no outside entrances. I liked that feature and felt safe at this hotel.I found the room very clean and acceptable.The bathroom was also clean.I could have used a few more toiletries.They charge extra for them so make sure you dont forget your shampoo at home.The room had a fridge BUT you need to rent it by the day ($1) from the front desk.They also make you pay for your entire stay upfront. Check your bill carefully as I was overcharged by 64.00.When I alerted the clerk to the error he told me I had to see the owner the next morning. When I spoke with her she told me she would fix the bill when I checked out.She did but seemed annoyed that I had complained about the bill.She also complained that I "wrinkled" the bill. She was overall a nasty person. I would stay again only cause of the price and the location.
