If you want to see blue water dont go here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/10
We got married here in April and were very upset. I shouldve listened to the reviews because everyone was right on when they said the best and water were horrible. We didnt go into the ocean once here. It was brown water and sea weed covered the beach. Stay in Cancun if you want a real Mexico experience. It was nice and quite there and very big but when we spand the money I want to be abe to walk on a nice neach and see the beautiful turquose water and you wont see it here. I would tell you to look into the Beach Palace. I will say the food was ok the sushi was good and the drinks were also very good but it was almost too big. You had to either walk a mile or wait for a golf cart to take you to a different area in the resort. We wouldnt stay here again and very sad we had our guests pay as much as they did to come to our wedding and also be dissapointed, it was a big let down. When they show you pictures on there website notice they dont show any of the water/beach. Just do your research.

Had a very good week.
By Michael, 7/21/10
Read some reviews before we left, some good some bad but had to find out for myself since everyone has their own opinons. First off been a member of Palace Resorts for 3 years and used one of their resorts in the past and had a wonderful experience. We stayed at Moon Palace this time and had a nice time. It is a very large resort 123 acers of sun and fun. Stayed on the Sunrise side of the resort, rooms were clean and all the common areas were clean also, never saw any trash anywhere. Pool was large, room enough for everyone never seemed crowded. Food was good, thought the service could be a little better. I think the place is so big they have a hard time keeping up, maybe some staffing would help. Never once did I think my saftey was an issue, when you leave the resort they write down your number and who you left with. The staff was nice and friendly, from house keeping, resturants, pool and spa. Now the down side, you have to take a bus or golf cart to the other parts of the resort which isn't that bad. You can take a bus to the other Palace Resorts on Hotel row but times are limited to 3 trips a day and you have to have a ticket to get on the bus, a taxi costs about $52.00 round trip. For all the people that said they had valuables taken thats why they have safes for, I never leave anything lying around, lock it up. The most disappointing thing about the trip was the beach, which just about everyone commented on was horrible, seaweed everywhere we didn't use the beach at all it was closed all week. They do their best to keep it clean but its a never ending battle. Over all it was a good vacation I think they need to hire more people. Maybe I will go back one day but for now I want to visit other Palace Resorts and get the most out of my investment. We work hard for our money And we upgraded to the VIP package so if that tells you anything, Palace Resorts was a good deal for me, and I plan on using them for a long time. Mike L.

Palace Resorts---No more!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/10
Members for 6 years and the service has declined, employees dont care anymoreand are very rude,( the Mgr of the Bugambilias Restaurant closed the door in my face beacsue we were 3 min late we have found hair in our food, mold in our bread, we got so sick I almost ended up in the hospital, transportation to restaurants and SPA is scarce, our roo was infested with ants and when we complaint they said we had probably left candy in the room! There was trash outside our room, hallway and stairs all the time, some cracker wrappers stayed in the same spot for almost one week. Please if you are thinking about becoming members DO NOT! It is NOT worth the investment

Cant wait to go back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/10
My husband and I got Married at Moon Palace in May of 2008! We had about 30 friends & family with us and everyone had a great time. Our wedding was awesome & the wedding coordinator was awesome. We got to moon palace on May 7th because we had to be in the country 48 full hours before our wedding. The rest of our family & friends came on May 8th & 9th & some stayed for a full week after. It was such a diverse resort that there was something to do for everyone in our wedding party & all of their children. All of our room, as requested by me & honored with no problem, were on the Nuzic side. It was awesome because we had a great spot in the pool that we claimed as ours for the week. We had our rehersal dinner on the resort & had our reception in the Brazilian Resturant. The experience was so fun. We checked out of our room on the 11th because we were going to the El Dorado Royal Casitas for our honeymoon but we were able to stay all day & hang out with our friends that were still there. I dont think we left until 6pm. Played beach volleyball & ate all day long! It was fun to be able to hang with everyone after the stresses of the wedding was over. We had such a good time we are headed back in a couple weeks for our 2nd visit to moon palace. This review is about two years late, but I had to write it because I cant believe all the people who get on here & say they had such a horrible time. My husband had a health problem while we were there & the resort did all they could to help him & when they could no longer help they called the hospital and told them we would be coming over. They were expecting us and helped us & he was ready to go in less than an hour. He had dysphagia--difficulty while swallowing....popped up on him right at the rehersal dinner. The hospital helped us & thank God we were able to enjoy the rest of our time at the moon palace and on our honeymoon. Again the hotel clinic was very helpful! I could easily complain about the entire trip and blame it all on moon palace but I wont because its all about your outlook on things. I think some people just look to complain about things and are so nit picky about things that nothing will make them happy. IMO these people should just STAY HOME :)

Best Vacation ever!!!
By CLINT, 7/6/10
The staff at Moon Palace are the friendliest people that I have ever run into at a resort. The food is out of this world and you never run out of things to do. We will be going back very soon.

Paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/29/10
We will be returning to Moon Palace (Nizuc) for the 5th time this November. There is no other word to describe this wonderful place. We took new people with us and when they saw the grounds, saw how the employees were ALWAYS interesed in seeing that we had everything our hearts desired, and realized that everything they needed was right at "Arms length" they said that Paradise was truly where they were. We love the Palace Resorts, but prefer to stay off the "Hotel Row". Too many people and too much noise there. Only peace and solitude at Moon Palace. Wonderful restaurants and the food is to die for!!! Can't say anything more than it is truly "Paradise on Earth"!!! Charlotte Hardesty

Never Again
By Travis, 6/24/10
Worst vacation ever.. Hotel staff could care less about helping out or even making our group feel wanted. All issues where met by a 'it's not my problem' attitude. Food was mediocre at best. Wasted a full day trying to get accomadations squared away. Just a very unpleasant experience will never visit another Palace Resort Hotel again
