Tucson Marriott University Park, Tucson

My Husband and I stayed at your hotel Marriott University Park over the Christmas Holliday. Since we were going to be away from home for the holidays we decided to pay a little more. Thinking this would provide us exceptional service and amenities. We had sadly mistaken. The staff was not helpful or accommodating. Daily we asked for extra creamer for coffee however, would only receive three creamers a day. Internet was charged daily I feel this is the most ridiculous charge, considering Starbucks and Whataburger offers free Wi-Fi. Valet parking was offered and we could also opt to park our own vehicle. We chose to park our own vehicle we were not informed that the hotel parking was located down the street in a parking garage, which was open to the public. On the second day of our stay we learned of the parking lot in front of the hotel was closer offered a twenty four hour parking attendant for less. Overall I was dissatisfied with the customer service and the lack of amenities. In this case I felt that we paid more for much less, and this hotel was not a place where guest are treated well. We were never asked if we enjoyed our stay. On our way back home we stayed a Holiday Inn Express, the customer services was wonderful and Wi-Fi was included. Your hotel did not set the bar high however; the Holiday Inn Express far exceeded your standards at the Marriott University Park.

The hotel is not what I expected for a marriott property. First impression was the dirty glass windows at the entrance. I was surprized that the hotel did not have staff to help with your luggage and to take it up to your room...I was told that the entire hotel has only 4 carts, dirty patio off from the bar, pool towels the size of dish towels and very thin...pool small and spa was too clorinated and foamy, dusty and cobwebby atrium above the kitchen. Vending machine on our floor was totally out of Pepsi, vending machine by the pool "ate" my money. Ice machine was by the elevator but Pepsi machine was at the other end of the floor (odd) On a good note, the beds were heavenly although one pillow had an unidentifing dried liquid on it when we checked in. Black hair on another pillow. The window was dirty. Other than that, the room was clean. Every staff member that we encountered was very nice and accommadating. The food was well cooked, nice presentation and of decent value. We also were offered a cold bottle of water when we were leaving. Nice touch. All and all not an exceptional value but not horrid either.

One of the nicest Marriots I have stayed in. Location is great if you have any University business or just want to be close to downtown without being "downtown"

This hotel is very nice - the people were friendly. We were there during an off peak timee, and we were easily able to upgrade our room to a very nice suite. It's location is very convenient on the edge of the university campus - close to all campus activities.

Location beats the heck out of any other hotel when visiting campus. Definitely the place to stay on football weekends or if you're just in town to visit campus. Nice rooms. Great atrium. And a terrific staff!

Nothing at all, this place is great!!! i especially like the nightlife of the university.
