Not what I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/07
The hotel is not what I expected for a marriott property. First impression was the dirty glass windows at the entrance. I was surprized that the hotel did not have staff to help with your luggage and to take it up to your room...I was told that the entire hotel has only 4 carts, dirty patio off from the bar, pool towels the size of dish towels and very thin...pool small and spa was too clorinated and foamy, dusty and cobwebby atrium above the kitchen. Vending machine on our floor was totally out of Pepsi, vending machine by the pool "ate" my money. Ice machine was by the elevator but Pepsi machine was at the other end of the floor (odd) On a good note, the beds were heavenly although one pillow had an unidentifing dried liquid on it when we checked in. Black hair on another pillow. The window was dirty. Other than that, the room was clean. Every staff member that we encountered was very nice and accommadating. The food was well cooked, nice presentation and of decent value. We also were offered a cold bottle of water when we were leaving. Nice touch. All and all not an exceptional value but not horrid either.

Great rooms/ location
By TomF, 01/22/06
One of the nicest Marriots I have stayed in. Location is great if you have any University business or just want to be close to downtown without being "downtown"

Great Hotel in Tucson
By BigVince, 12/29/05
This hotel is very nice - the people were friendly. We were there during an off peak timee, and we were easily able to upgrade our room to a very nice suite. It's location is very convenient on the edge of the university campus - close to all campus activities.

Best Place To Stay at U of A
By Harris, 07/12/05
Location beats the heck out of any other hotel when visiting campus. Definitely the place to stay on football weekends or if you're just in town to visit campus. Nice rooms. Great atrium. And a terrific staff!

Great hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/05
If you are visiting the University of Arizona, this is the place to stay. It is ideally located across from the main entrance to the campus. It is also located a block away from the main strip catering to the college students of bars, restaurants and shops. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the school, an overstuffed bed with a large bathroom. The staff was very helpful and professional. Try having dinner in the restaurant - it was delicious from their juicy cheeseburgers on a potato roll, to their chicken caesar salad and steak. We would definitely return.
