Century Hotel, Miami Beach

Of course I have stayed at a better hotel but the Century was just right for an overnight first visit to Miami. The location was perfect for seeing all the sights on South Beach in one quick trip. The price was a bit pricey for the hotel though. They should really be on the line of the Best Western price wise, maybe start at 69.00 per night.

The beds were comfortable. The staff is very nice. The location cannot be beat for the price. However, if you're used to even the Best Western this is a smaller, dimmer, less luxe room. There are two dogs that meet you in lobby. Their sweet - just didn't want you to be surprised. The site advertises flat screens. We had a 27-inch tube bolted to the ceiling. Look, if you're looking for just a place to stay while you party the day and night away - this will do. If you're looking to luxuriate at a resort - stay somewhere else. Oh, and there's tiger-print carpeting throughout. Just not my thing.

This little boutique hotel is a great bargain for anyone wanting to stay in South Beach/Miami. The hotel has been remodeled, very clean, great hospitality, and right across the street from the beach, just south of one of the main streets. A real pleasure.

Liked the location, across from the beach, blocks from SoBe, and historic sights. Nice, cozy room, great folks, good value in the middle of Spring Break.

Small, independent hotels are my preferred choice and The Century fits the bill. Being over 50 means peace & quiet is essential and for the most part is delivered. The front rooms can be noisy from Devito's restaurant next door and general street noise. Those older roll up windows don't do a good job of keeping sound out and they sure could use a cleaning (I admit I have a thing about dirty windows). The staff are wonderful and the location is great. The hardwood floors & noisy doors are a minor contribution to the noise factor. I would return here.

Liked the price and location. Very good resturants within 3 blocks. Very helpful staff. Quiet location,but only 3 blocks from the "action".

I just stayed at the Century Hotel this past weekend and was really pleased with the unpretentious staff and the location. The room was perfectly comfortable after a night on the town. I walked right across the street to the beach and was able to get some quiet sleep. The Century is my secret in the know gem I will continue to recommend to everyone going to Miami Beach. ENJOY!

I recently stayed at the Century "Hotel" in south beach. This "Hotel" made me think of an actual MOTEL trying to be a "Hotel" and got listed as one. We had a SERIOUS BUG PROBLEM- Ants, lil baby spiders, and A baby Salamander (yes! i said a baby lizard in our "Hotel" room!!) We told the guy @ the front desk and he basically asked us what did we want him to do?? :

St Petersburg,fl I traveled with my husband and 2 16 yr old girls, we knew nothing about Miami and the girls wanted to go everywhere and see everything, the staff printed directions, gave travel tips they went above and beyound. This after helping to correct serveral scheduling mistakes I made before we arrived. excellent service
