Old Motel - New Name
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/05
Not sure what name this hotel started life with, but it was not Holiday Inn Express. This is an old "renovated" structure. The renovations look kinda crummy in a lot of areas.
Overall the place was fairly clean, if not a bit tired. The airconditioning was not functioning when I was visiting. Now, it was about 20 degrees outside, but the hotel is built with the rooms in the center of the hotel and the halls on the outside, so there was no opening windows.
No electrical outlets near the desk, lighting at the desk was poor, straight chair, instead of office chair. WiFi was very week in my room, hit or miss on loading pages.
Room was updated with HI-Express shower, soaps, breakfast.
Upside to this place was the it's located close to a shopping area with a mall, Office Max, several restaurants. Also very close to the highway interchange and airport. There was several other hotels on this plot, including some that look better and some that look worse. There's a Mariott owned hotel (Fairfield?) that looks very nice. I think I'll check them out next time I'm in town.
If you love HI-Express for their nifty new buildings... you'll not be satisfied here.
