DECEIVING FROM OUTSIDE!!!!

WE CAME ACROSS IT BY CHANCE, AS IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A BACK PACKERS PLACE FROM OUTSIDE! HOWEVER, THEO, KINDLY SHOWED US AROUND, AND WE BOOKED THERE AND THEN.THE ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS, MODERN AND COMFORTABLE. NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE, THE LOCATION IS ENVIABLE.WE ACME ALL THE WAY FROM ENGLAND AS OUR SON LIVES IN MELBOURNE SO WE WILL DEFINATELY RETURN. SALLY AND PHIL WEBSTER WE STAYED FEBRUARY 2008

The best. Hands down.

I've stayed in most of the hotels nearby, and nothing matches this place for location, quality and price. Spacious, freshly renovated rooms with flat-screen T.V. and fresh, comfortable bathrooms. Great rates, fresh air.

Would never stay anywhere else!

I have stayed at City Square Motel twice and have enjoyed both visits. When I was there in 2004 my ex-wife and daughter came down from Canberra and the manager of the Motel gave me a great deal for the four nights they were with me. I only mentioned what I would like and he far exceeded what I had requested. The staff is very professional as well and are very fast at cleaning the rooms as well as re-stocking them. I will be returning there in 2005 for two more weeks of sterling service and excellant value for money.

I have hired a room in City Square Motel twice and both times the level of service has been great. This last time was over the top. My ex wife brought our daughter to Melbourne to visit me and the motel management made arrangements to accomodate us whilst allowing me to keep my single room. While not a flash property, the rooms are clean, the service is ALWAYS with a smile and the basics (coffee, tea,kettle,even Vegemite!)are supplied. Even though City Square is under new management, it is not noticed. All in all, a brilliant place to stay in the heart of Australia's greatest big city.
