Holiday Inn Williams, Williams

Traveling from East coast to West on a cross country drive and this was HANDS DOWN worst Holiday Inn to date! Hotel is so antiquated that was on par with an old La Quinta: sink in room vs in bath, VERY THIN WALLS (could hear every word, sneeze, etc of next room), no thermostat control so heater had no regulation so chose to stay cold vs heat, no complimentary breakfast which in this case was good thing! What they call a gym was basically non-existent: a couple OLD treadmill bikes in a huge empty room; I desperately wanted to workout so another big let down. This holiday inn was a disappointment in every way! Wordt of all old pillows & uncofortable bed. CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL! Holiday Inn Corporate needs to force a remodel or remove their name.

The front desk employees were terrible. Did not honor friends and family discount. There was no elevator to take up the bags. One person in our party just had a knee replacement and another was 75 years old. They said they would take the bags up for us when I questioned them. They did it with a terrible attitude. Awake out of a sound sleep at 4:00 am to banging noise of people dragging suit cases down the stairs.

I checked in and checked out the next day with 2 rooms under my name. I was treated horribly, yelled at by your hotel manager, Mrs. Danielle. Your staff was not courteous at all even though I had prior requests through your hotel before my confirmation. I need early check in by 1 PM, I was coming from Los Angeles and requested for adjoining room. Both my requests were discarded. I had to wait in the lobby with my 4 kids. We were severely tired for driving 7 hours. Your hotel manger had no compassion, on top of that, she yelled at me when I had told her about the requests I had made. She made us wait until 2:35 PM and had a bad attitude the whole day. She lost her manners someplace down the line and how to treat a customer. I will NEVER stay at your hotel again and will tell everyone who is planning to visit the Grand Canyon to NEVER stay at your hotel. I am sure I am not the only one filing a complaint about your manager. Seems like her attitude is in her blood and has done this with prior customers.

The room was clean, nicely appointed, had 4 pillows on each bed (!), and the shampoo and conditioner were in containers that looked different (important for those of us who need glasses to read). Thank you!

Non smoking room was really a smoking room. Stunk and there were ashes behind the night stand. The hot tub was almost green. Definately need the scum removed and chemicals added.

I just returned from staying at your hotel for two nights and I must make you aware of some problems with your establishment. 1. Upon arrival my partner observed pornographic movies playing on the TV in the hotel lobby with several children observing the set. This is completely unacceptable under ANY circumstances. Your front desk personnel MUST monitor the shows playing on the lobby TV under all conditions. 2. The food that was suppose to be hot in the buffet was cold and overpriced for what was presented for choice. Immediate review of this area offering is required. Your immediate attention to these problems is expected. Thank you.

The hotel was easily accessable from I-40, close to the Grand Canyon and priced reasonably. The staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful. The three queen bed double room was a great idea, the only thing I would change is to move the entrance door to the room with the bathroom. We will definately stay again.

Good points: conveniently located, reasonably priced, reasonably spacious, pleasant decor, very clean at first glance and nice quality toiletry items. Some negatives: Only one person at the check-in desk with apparently no one to help when a problem arose with a party of 6; as a result, check-in took forever. The room looked clean but in the bathroom a small contingent of ants was very busy making themselves at home. Upon calling, housekeeping arrived promptly but although most were gone, ants continued to appear during our two night stay. Towels were very thin, rough and small, the TV remote almost useless (dying battery?), the mattress not very comfortable. Except for housekeeping, the personnel we encountered could have been a bit more welcoming, notably the grumpy girl who checked us out. It had been years since we stayed at a Holiday Inn, and we only did this time because we had relatives staying there. Notwithstanding the negatives, it was better than we had anticipated.

I would like to start off by letting you know I am extremely picky with lodging and places to eat!!! The Grand Canyon Hotel was booked so we had to stay one night at the GCH and one at the Holiday Inn. THe stay at the Holiday Inn was great. The room was very clean!! However, the mattress springs were old and squeaky. I was actually pleased with my stay considering that William is asmall city. Other than the Grand Canyon Hotel- I would recommend the Holiday Inn. :)

My husband and I chose Holiday Inn because of its reputation, and after this weekend, I will have a hard time staying in a Holiday Inn again! We were given a smoking room and had asked for non smoking, when we got to our room it hadn't been cleaned yet (someone elses hair/spit on the mirrors, sink and in the tub) and there weren't any towels. We told the cleaning crew the room wasn't cleaned, and we called down to the front desk to let them know and after several hours it still wasn't done. I finally had to go to the front desk to talk to the manager before anything was done about it. The staff wasn't friendly or polite. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was near the highway so it was easy to leave! Stay somewhere else, anywhere else in Williams, AZ!!
