The Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Now it is closed when i checked in last year from a web site. As we wanted to stay there again. Good things were 1.in the city at a very budget price with spacious room. 2.Reasonable breakfast Did not like was 1. Few rooms required Plumbing and Ac maintenance, We have changed our room twice in our 5 days stay. Maintenance team was quick. Over all Budget price, Love to stay if it opens again.

We loved our recent stay here.O.K it may not be the hotel it once was but it's clean cheap and very central, most of all it has character,history and charm. If you can't find this place interesting then go elsewhere.K.L has many modern, souless, "I could be anywhere in the world" hotels to stay in, and you will pay more for it.

actually i like every thing in this hotel i staied two month in heritge hotel it was very exciting my room was very comfortable and really safe i never warry about my things in my room and the staff soo friendly specialy anna she is sales room in the hotel she is really really nice she like to help all the people.and i hope to go back to my favorite hotel it really was nice hotel

I finally got the chance to stay in this century-old hotel out of curiosity for the past 5 yrs!!! It was a wonderful feeling with 3-big queen size beds waitin for me and my family! Though the interior and colour co-ordination of the rooms need to be improved with bright pastel colours, overall is great and I manage to stay for 3-nites! Need to improve more and market the hotel thoughout the region and overseas, so that tourists and even locals will want to experience this hotel. Verandah needs to have more variety and entertainment so that tourists will want to relax in it.

This hotel may have been nice in its day..but that day is long over. Our reservation (despite a recent e-mail confirmation) was not there..no problem..there didn't seem to be too many staying there. Service, what service? They hand you a key (for which you pay a deposit) and you find the room yourself. Elevator was out of order..so you needed to carry luggage up the stairs with no assistance. Room is sparse. Basic room is VERY basic. Bed had blanket and bottom sheet..no top sheet. Mattress wasn't terrible however. A/C worked. Shower was just spout from wall in bathroom (no bathtub)..one faucet , no hot water in sink..barely warm for shower. Not a cheerful place. I cannot compare to other budget places, but I would definitely splurge and stay somewhere very nice next time..I didn't think this was great value..cheap but pretty miserable. A taxi driver took a wrong turn and had to go way around, it's an odd location to reach if you aren't sure..and we were paying him a flat rate..no reason for him to make the mistake. In the morning we had to leave at 7 a.m. and not surprisingly the hotel would not even give us coffee..as breakfast started at 7:30. The point may be moot anyway, according to our taxi guide..this place is going to be torn down and I'm afraid that doesn't bother me at all. Even in my best "Let's save money" mode..I would not go here again.

This hotel is really for those pathetic travellers. I stayed here for a few minutes just to check out within 30 minutes because of the condition. For those who doesn't mind about room's below par condition, services and even the facilities, this is your 1st choice. If not, avoid completely or you'll never forgive yourself checking in at first place!

I found out about the Station Heritage Hotel on the internet. From the pictures on their website, the hotel really looked amazing. I was looking to stay in a hotel with some history and thought that this was for me. On this site a previous review mentioned that the hotel had recently been renovated...that clinched it for me. When I arrived, I was checked in my a young gentleman, who wasn't very friendly or very helpful. I was given a key and only told where the room was, after I asked for directions! The lift was out of order, so I had to carry 27kg worth of luggage up 3 flights of stairs. My bedroom was absolutely disgusting. The matress was old and way past its prime. There was one very old and stained bottom sheet on the bed and a very thin blanket. The carpet was so old and stained, I'm not sure what the colour was. The bedroom window couldn't open - it had been nailed shut. The stench of very old cigarette smoke was overpowering - I could smell it in my clothes the next day. The bathroom had no hot water in the sink or shower. The shower, which is inside the tub, had no shower curtain, so every time I took a shower, there was water all over the floor. The walls between rooms, is "dry wall" or "rhino board." Therefore you can hear everything...and I mean EVERYTHING (!) from the next room! The aircon worked very well, that I must be honest about, but unfortunately it didn't help with the smell. I originally booked for seven nights, but I couldn't take more than 2 nights and checked out. It is sad that such a grand old building is not being maintained and that the service there, leaves such a bad taste in your mouth. I will never go to that hotel again!
