Residence Inn by Marriott Pentagon City, Arlington

Our stay at the Residence Inn Pentagon City made our vacation so enjoyable and affordable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was excellent!! What a great selection! We also enjoyed a few of the evening meals. We did not miss movie night either. We enjoyed the ice cream and popcorn, but did not stay for the movie. The staff could not have been more helpful. The shuttle service was great! We never waited more than a few minutes for the van. Our two bedroom room was perfect for our needs and the beds and bedding were so comfortable. It would be perfect for a family traveling to DC that would want to save a little money on food costs. We were shuttled to and from the grocery store and purchased our own snacks, ice cream, coffee, pop, and bottled water. It was only a couple blocks to two different Metro stops. Very convenient. In all, a great place to stay!

Our room was clean and comfortable with that great Marriott bedding. The elevator service was faster than a bullet! Breakfast buffet was excellent - every day. Our group had room to gather and visit in the lobby where the coffee pot was always on! Tiny store had the basics. A nice variety of restaurants for lunch and dinner were just a nice walk away. Loved having the Metro and Pentagon City Mall within an easy walk - even in the rain! We've always stayed at the Ritz Carlton around the corner when in DC and (really!) this was much more fun and comfortable for a group traveling together. We'll be back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very,very clean. It was handy to the Pentagon City Mall and Metro so we didn't need to drive to go sightseeing. The parking garage was secure, the only way to get in was with your room key card. The breakfast buffet had many choices and was constantly replenished. The only drawback was the fact that there was no restaurant in the hotel. That would have been nice for lunch or dinner. Two thumbs up!!

Although the location is good, I found the service to be aweful. First off, the room smelled rather musty. Second, the food at the free meals was not very good. Third, the service was terrible. Example: while trying to get change for the $3 laundry machines, the desk clerk sneered at me and told me to go to the bank instead. There were several other incidents in which the staff were rude or simply not helpful.
