The staff make the hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/06
I stayed for two weeks at the Sheraton Imperial in Kuala Lumpur on a business trip in August/September 2006. I've stayed in a few hotels during my career, but until now I've never wanted to tell people I've never met about it.
As you would imagine from the "official" ratings, the hotel fulfils all your expectations in style and appointment. The rooms are as you would expect, with all you need from a hotel. I count myself lucky to have had a room with a view of the Petronas Towers.
What made me want to write a review though, was the people that make the place tick, the staff. The staff (and I say this about all the Malaysians I met during my trip) have a genuine smile, a genuine interest in you and your wellbeing, and a good sense of humour.
I would also like to add, that should you stay in this hotel, you must eat in the Celestial Court on the 3rd floor, because it's fantastic. Don't let me down on this one!
