Housekeeping an issue!
We stayed 4 nights and upon returning from our first day out we found that housekeeping had not touched our room or replaced the dirty towels. The second night only replaced the towels, nothing else. The third night finally emptied trash cans and replaced the towels and the fourth night finally gave us soap and toilet paper, nothing else. We had to go to the front desk and request toilet paper which is pathetic. The room appeared clean when we checked in but upon further examination, after realizing that they were not taking care of the rooms, we found left over garbage in the dressers. We made a point to bag up our things every morning so that nothing was left out in the room or bathroom so that housekeeping could tidy things up, so that is not the reason. The third evening of our stay we ordered pizza and the next day the garbage was left in our room. We had stacked up the boxes so they could be removed but they weren't. I had to take them outside and put them in a garbage can and upon removing them found a bug on the dresser top that looked to me could have been a bed bug which made the stay a whole lot more enjoyable, when you are laying in bed thinking about bed bugs. I do not expect the bedding to be completely changed every night, but come on 4 nights in a row not changing them? Also the room did not have to be completely cleaned, but take care of the garbage and bathroom. The statement of smoke free hotel is also a joke, when the desk clerk stands out front and smokes and you have to walk through it to enter hotel. The first night when we went and got new towels from the desk they smelled of smoke. Not a pleasant experience at all. The breakfast bar/room was constantly full of people and limited supplies. I let my concerns be known and I have heard nothing from the manager or anyone working for the hotel. What a dissapointment. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I try to check reviews and base my decision on where to stay by that and the overall reputation on a hotel chain and I made a mistake there. My main concern when staying in a hotel is cleanliness and this one missed the mark.

Very good value for money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/08
I rate hotels based on value for money. I once stayed in a $430 per night hotel in Moscow where there was no hot water in the morning - poor value for money. For the price this Fairfield Inn was great value for money. Originally, I only booked it because I couldn't get in anywhere else but i was very pleasantly surprised. Clean and comfortable - and plenty of hot water in the morning!

Affordable and "Homey"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/06
The lobby was very warm and welcoming and the cookies at check-in were a nice treat. I was upgraded to a room with a fireplace and it was very cozy. I usually stay at the Sheraton, but it was full. For the savings, I'll stay at the Fairfield Inn again!
