A *Magic* Vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
We stayed at Silver Lake Resort for 4 nights in July 06. We were in the 900 building and it was a palace! The towels were folded like swans, all of our needs were provided for there was even a basket of snacks in the kitchen. Our timeshare presentation was simple- no pressure. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. It is strange that they don't give you clean towels each day, but there is a washing machine and if you ask nice enough at the front desk they will give you more towels. (We did!) The only down side to this resort was the shower was a little scummy. Otherwise, we loved every second and I was sad to leave! Be sure you ask for a map to Disney at the front desk because you can follow all the signs and take 20 minutes, or follow the hotel directions and get there in less than 5! They started installing wireless internet the day we left.

If you like clean towels/furniture go elsewhere!
By BA, 06/23/06
Not a place to go if you prefer clean towels, furniture and bathrooms. Timeshare - new towels once a week unless you are willing to go to lobby for a towel exchange, on one specific day and time period. Towels all stained and old (thin and not soft)....not hotel quality, not even close! Decor is dated and furniture lacks support and very dirty (sofa, chair covers stained). No wireless internet in rooms.

4 star resort
By renease, 06/18/06
this resort was wondreful, it was everything the picture showed. it was very clean. they were very nice to us. and the salelmen was very informative about the timeshare. we did not purchase it, and they were still very nice to us. everything was very simple, from purchaseing the package online to getting our room. they also didnt pressure us into purchasing the timeshare.

A beautiful resort, in a quiet area of Kissimmee, yet only a few minutes from Disney's main entrance. Best vacation I've had in many years.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/06
It's quiet location, yet close to everything and only a few minutes from Disney's main entrance. So beautiful and clean. Best vacation I've had in years.

Oh my God!!! a nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/06
On arrival we were greeted by one assisstant who couldn't care less about our visit. We had booked 5 nights with an agent and found we had only been entered for 4 meaning we had to pay for an extra night and downgraded to just a single room for us and 2 toddlers. The rooms were clean but shoddy, considering we were there to purchase timeshare the effect of the room put us in a bad mood; pieces of appliances were hanging off, lightbulbs were burnt out, taps dripped constantly, bedding was cheap and nasty, the same picture was on 3 walls and the unit(1800) smelt like a swimming poll 24\7. The pool was good and the proximity to Disney was good but i would not recommend this resort if you want to be in a place where people care about your vacation.

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/06
Once timeshare is purchased... you are no longer a privileged customer. The business owner(s) ignore you completely, basicaly they aren't helpful at all. I like moving and walking around, but trust me, the only way to feel safe at night is to drive around as it's located in a dodgy/dark road.

BEWARE!
By AlyshaJ, 03/18/06
This place is a complete dump! Photos look NOTHING like the resort! I have stayed many places over the years but this by far is the worst! We were in the 1700 building and it smelled like it had wet carpet that dried out and it also smelled like mildew was in the air conditioning units. It was very nasty and dated. Even the pool area was gross. The woman at front desk were very unpleasant. They all seemed to HATE their jobs! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!!

Nice resort, yucky bathroom
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/06
The resort is in a very nice location. The resort is very nice and the grounds are very clean. Once you enter it is a whole other story, the lobby is plain and there was only one person working at the counter. Once inside the condo it was decorated well and seemed great to spend a week at until you enter the bathroom. There was soap scum in the garden tub and there was a clump of someone elses hair in the bottom of my shower. It does not end there the closet where the washer and dryer were kept had piles of lint on both sides of it and on one side it even had an empty box of detergent. I was sadly disappointed.
