Horrible Customer Service
By ElischaF, 09/03/08
My husband and I stayed here twice this year, and each visit was extremely disappointing. First, I'm not one to nit pick, but I do expect quality customer service. Each time this establishment was under par. The General Manager is clueless. On our first visit, I filled out the guest survey, and she sent us a letter for an upgrade to a suite if we gave them another chance. You would have thought they would have made some kind of note on our account to make sure that our every need was taken care of for our visit. Not the case. Called room service and asked for a bottle of champagne. The rep said that she didn't have the liquor cabinet key, and she wasn't going to be able to do that for us. Not one attempt to resolve the situation, or just say of course, and figure it out on her own. Our room was not properly cleaned. Empty Champagne bottle left in room, chairs askew from the table. Countless of things. But what made me more upset than anything was how the General Manager handled the complaint. Not only that but the President of the company wasn't much better, and gave her employee the way out, instead of apologizing for her General Manager behavior. If you want decent hotel service, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
From the pictures and reviews, I expected a unique, botique hotel that felt upscale. Other than a nice lobby, the rest of the experience was pedestrian and a bit shabby. The furniture was laminate, the bathroom had worn fixtures and the bed was soft. Even the tv was small. It was clean, but I could have been in a Hampton Inn; I expect more at these prices and based on how they bill themselves.

Not that Impressed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/05
I was expecting something really great from the pics on the web and comments but was basically unimpressed. Tiny rooms, so-so service. We did enjoy Harrys.

I felt spoiled!!!
By smarterbusiness, 09/26/05
The first thing I noticed about The Magnolia Hotel in Denver was the cozy atmosphere in the lobby, with a fire in the fireplace and the large couches and chairs. The staff was extremely courteous while we checked in. My favorite thing about this hotel was the attention to detail. But, of course, I cannot overlook the chocolate chip cookies before bedtime!!! They have WARM, excellent chocolate chip cookies and milk waiting downstairs in a very comfortable area, with waterfall, nice seating, large TV's, and a library. I truly felt spoiled at The Magnolia!!

Wonderful stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/05
The location of this hotel is ideal. It is close to the downtown and convention center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the evening cocktails, warm cookies at night, and wonderful breakfast buffet. This is a great place to stay--aways from the mad rush of the larger hotels.

Nice weekend get-a-way
By Eric W, 05/26/05
Nice weekend get away in Downtown Denver. Clean, comfortable rooms. My only complaint is the air conditioning is VERY loud and the windows do not open.

Southern hospitality in the heart of LoDo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/04
Great stay. Accomodations were fantastic and so too was the location. Staff was friendly. Harrys was a unique, non-smoking bar. Loved the all-suite rooms.

Just OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/04
This was my second stay at a Magnolia Hotel. The other was in Dallas. Since my last stay they now have high speed, WiFi even - well if it had worked. I had to go down to the lower level of the hotel at 1130p at night to get access in order to complete my project to send over to my local Kinkos. The rooms are small, I love the big soaking tub, I hate that there is no mini bar or any good room service. I had a drink in Harry's the attached bar, that too was just OK. I'll keep trying other hotels on my next trip to Denver... I just a little more than 'just ok'.. especially when you're paying over $200 a night.
