An Extraordinary African Experience!

If you enjoy luxury resort style and want to be close to nature this is the place! The architecturally appealing log cottages and main building form a crescent shape that surrounds a waterhole which the wild animals venture miles to drink so you are witnessing Africa's wildlife first hand and untainted by the presence of man chasing them. Our first day there while we were overlooking the view by the boulder lined pool, we witnessed 25 bull elephants lead by the dominant male with his trunk in the air to announce their arrival, one by one they marched in line to the watering hole, excited, but cautious, to quench their thirst. In 30 minutes they marched on, wary of predators at this popular site, but this was a spectacle so wonderful to witness. Infared binoculars would allow viewing of night visitors, but you can view them without if you have sharp night vision. The food is quite good for being so remote, the people are very warm and friendly. Careful with the monkeys, they will steal the sugar packets if you allow them into the room! They know the newcomers are unaware of their antics and will sneak inside given a blind second. Don't block them once inside, just let them escape. Airport departure note: Carry valuables in your carry on, as my fabric suitcase was ripped open at the airport for my newly purchased leather belts. Would I return? Absolutely!
