Outrigger Beach Club, Ormond Beach

We stayed at Outrigger for a week and I would definitely go back anytime. The location is great. It is close enough to everything, The rooms are not huge, but it worked great for a family of 4. The grounds are kept very clean. The pool area is very nice and you are just steps away from the beach. They have plenty of deck chairs, grills, and picnic tables. I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff was. If you are looking for a nice clean family friendly place for a great beach vacation then this is the place for you.

We have stayed at the Outrigger Beach Club going on 5 years now and have loved each and every stay we've had. The office staff is wonderfully pleasant and personable. Beach towels available, additional room cleaning, laundry room onsite, internet, cable, and a GREAT pool side view of the beach. This place is adult, family, and kid friendly. DON'T listen to the other comments. The staff here care about the guests and have been working here for years. They know my kid's names and mine, even when I'm calling from home to catch up on the weather or and building upgrades they call me by name. If you're looking for a great pool, hot tub, beach view, clean rooms, grills, and only 3 miles from Daytona the Outrigger Beach Club is the place you want to be!

We book a week in May 2007 at the Outrigger using our Bluegreen points.Whoever they have taking the photos for advertisement must be miracle worker.We had a studio with a murphy bed that was worse than sleeping on a wood floor.The room smelled and was not very clean.The dishwasher leaked all over the floor and we couldn't get anyone to fix it. Since anyone can come in that owns there, even if they are not staying there, the pool and grill area were overflowing with people.People unloaded by the vans full, and stayed at the pool all day.Did no feel safe to even come in & out at night because of the surrondings.On Monday there was NO water pressure.You couldn't even take a shower, all you had was a drizzle of water that would come out.We tried to move to another Bluegreen facility, but since it was a holiday weekend no one could help us.We finally got in touch with the corporate office on Tuesday,and moved to the Seabreeze in Daytona. It was much more like what we expected when we purchased our timeshare.

WE TRADED A 2 BR, 2 BA FOR A ONE ROOM, AGAIN A ONE ROOM (THIS RM. INCLUDED A SITTING AREA, KITCHEN,BATHR. AND MURPHY BED THAT OPENED INTO THE KITCHEN. THIS IS WHAT WE GOT AS A TRADE. NO HELP FROM RCI TO GET BETTER ACCOMMODATIONS. THE WALLS WERE PAPER THIN. WE DID NOT MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE NOISE. WE PACKED UP AND LEFT THE PLACE AT 11:30 P.M. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT A COMPANY AS LARGE AS RCI WOULD SPONSER OR RECOMEND A PLACE LIKE THIS TERRIBLY RUN DOWN, DELAPIDATED FLORIDA MOTEL.

If you are looking for resort type surrounding (spa, restaurant) this isn't the place. Pool and jacuzzi is as nice as it gets. Is right on the beach however. Small rooms, only 3-4 level hotel type building. Clean and the best service at front desk ever. Good for students or singles.

We vacationed at the Outrigger Beach Club from Jan 6 to the 13th. The weather was nice for that time of year mid 70's. The reason I would not go back to this facility is; the beds had stained sheets on them, the sinks were clogged and maintenance never came up to fix them, the bathroom door would not close. They had remodeling going on during this week and failed to notify us, so we had jackhammers and loud noises waking us up at 7:00 am. And the final straw was that on the day we were checking out my wife slipped down the newly painted stairs, and when she filled out an accident report, the mananager acted like it was her fault. Never once asked if she was ok. Very poor experience overall, would definitely not recommend.

We expected to go to a nice resort, we got a run down hotel room with a partial kitchen. The pool area was nice, & of coarse the ocean view was priceless from the pool deck. View from most rooms is the parking lot.

The location of this resort was nice, on the beach and with an okay pool, but the whole place absolutely stank of smoke and was mildewy and not very clean...We're not very picky people but the smoke and lack of cleanliness was a problem. The rooms are also very, very small and not comfortable.

My family has been going to the Outrigger every year since the early 80s. We used to live in Pennsylvania and came to Daytona every summer for vacation. My parents belonged to the Outrigger timeshare. They recently exchanged timeshare memberships so that they could travel to other places, but we still visit the Outrigger frequently. It's a great place, and I look forward to going back every year.
