9 reviews for Golden Palms Hotel And Spa, Bangalore
extremely Disappointing, Very bad experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/09
Had a day out at Golden Palms in Bangalore with my team. That day was very hot in Bangalore, but none of the A/C’s were working, and even after repeated requests to put the A/C on the people there did not put the A/C on. It is very sad that after paying so much money for my group, we had to bear this. Further, we went for a swim and 2 of my team got their feet cut at the bottom of the pool, one of them quite badly. The staff was not at all helpful about this. Overall a really bad experience, would never go there again.

Great place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/07
you can never imagine that this place lies amidst the forest and away from the city noise. very peaceful with good landscaping. Staff is good and the management works hard to provide u that comfort zone. I had a great time with family and friends and will undoubtedly plan out another trip.

The Only think which could have been better is the location, no doubt its away from the city, but was difficult journey from the airport !!!!

pretty nice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/06
We won this stay gift voucher for this resort for a couple and trust me its an amazing place if u want to forget your worries and just relax. I came down with my wife and son from edinburgh and i never thought that such a place exists in india..! We got an upgrade to a higher room suite and it just took off from there. the ablcony faced the big pool and the best part is that you don't hear all those honkings and vehicle movement noises here.. its just in the jungle kinda place.. Infact the gm (some Mr. shrma, can't recollect his name) was not at all high headed like other hotel gms that i've come across.. he even give us a bottle of wine on the house, drove us arond in this golf buggy and also gave his personal camera fr clicking snaps as our camera ditched us at the last minute.... the italian restaurant is like an indoor jungle..very adventerous set up.. and then we suddenly see a chopper landing right next to the hotel.. meaning they also have a helipad and stuff..!! Now am planning to sneek out of my house and come here again with friends this time though.. an just get high on nature (and on boose ofcourse)..

WOW Impression
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/06
I had visited this hotel last year and i can see a lot of improvment in the quality of service it is better than a 5 Star Hotel. The restaurant quality has an amazing ambiance and you dont feel that you are in bangalore. i met the lebanese Food & Beverage Manager Mr Chadi Sleiman ho take care of us and made us feel as at home. And the best part of this Hotel is out of the city with a beautiful landscap where in the morning you can smell the flower and see many kind of beards never seen in the city WOW impression keep it up Golden Palms Team Fouad Al Moudahiki

Great weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/06
My honeymoon had to be somewhere amazing hence, i chose to visit India. I went to a lot of cities in India but I guess Bangalore was the best - especially Golden Palms Hotel. I stayed here on a weekend and after informing the Front Desk staff that this is my first vacation to India, the Hotel staff couldn't have made it more memorable. They gave me cakes, candle lit dinners next to the pool, daily flowers and all this with a genuine smile. I think this place needs to be explored atleast once by every traveller. The spa is really big and great sets of massages they have. It does seem to be away from the city but i think thats the plus point of this place atleast for someone whoz coming like me. Don't miss out the greenry and the fresh smell that you get early morning. I think I am going to have my second honeymoon here itself,, pretty soon.

Fantastic Holiday!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/06
I wanted to have a peaceful holiday over a weekend during my business trip at Bangalore. One of my friend suggested Golden Palms. I visited the website and got attracted. My experience was vey nice as the place gives a feeling of vastness with so much of greenery around. Food was quite good, specially the Italian and service was fine. I enjoyed mostly at the spa and had various treatment done. It was simply fantastic and I look forward to stay during my next Business trip!

Not the money worth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/05
I wanted to unwind after a year of hard work and travel. Spend a week with my wife there. I was carried away by the fotos on the homepage. I wish I had rather gone to Thailand or Bali. It would have been much better and less expensive ! The rooms are very average. Interiors are all cheap stuff with no taste for class. Almost every evening there was a pool side party and one could hardly get any sleep till mindnight ! It was a Nightmare. Food was OK. Not only was this place so awafully expensive, a phone call to US for 8 minutes costed us over 80 USD ! The food bills were also a rip off. While paying the bill we got a REALLY bad exchange rates for our traveller cheques. If I was not so tried and looking forward to quite time with my wife I would have left after the first day !
