Best place on our 5,000-mile trip

A friend familiar with the Microtel Inn & Suites of Bozeman suggested it would be a good stop on our way home to Iowa. Boy, was she right! We stayed in several places in the course of our trip from Iowa up to Lake Louise, over to Seattle, and back home. The price was the lowest we paid anywhere (except for staying with friends in Missoula) and the amenities were the best (except for staying at our friends' place.)
If Bozeman is an option for a night's stay as you drive cross country, you simply have to stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites. (You do have to wind around a bit to get to the Microtel, even though it is a short drive from the I-90 exit; but I doubt there's any better buy within 100 miles.)
