Suburban Extended Stay DFW Airport North, Lewisville

Before I write this review I want to make clear that the person at the front desk made every effort to help us and apologized for everything. We got checked into our room and we noticed the heater did not work, the microwave would count down but not work, there was a wasp in our room on the ceiling, and the internet did not work. We got moved to another room across the hotel. The good point about this room was the heater worked and it had a stove, refrigerator and sink. BUT when we wanted to take a shower I noticed HAIR (not ours) in the shower. Upon further inspection I noticed hair in the corner of the bathroom corner. In the kitchen, the pot holder and towel had crumbs on it. We hadn't used them. As we were getting ready for bed, I checked the bed for bed bugs. Thank goodness there were none, but there were orange peels and food under the edges of the beds. With 2 toddlers this is unacceptable. I am a former maid and I would never leave a room in this condition. A few minor things that happened was the down button on the elevator of our floor did not work. We had to push the up button. Again no big deal. One of the doors leading outside stuck. I gave this one star and that is strictly because the person at the desk did her best and it wasn't her fault.
