All-around good experience!

When I booked the Hilton Garden Inn for our first trip to Nashville, I was a bit concerned. At just $69/night (May, 2005) on a holiday weekend when other comparable hotels were at least $20 more, I wondered what I'd encounter upon arrival. And the hotel's airport location was not a plus for us since we would have preferred to be downtown.
What a pleasant surprise! The hotel is as neat as a pin. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. A request for more pillows from housekeeping was met. Our room was clean and spacious and well appointed. There's a pool (highly chlorinated though), a fitness room, a small bar and restaurant, a sundries "shop" and free round-the-clock coffee in the lobby.
The hotel's location is right on top of the airport yet we heard no overhead noise. And being near the highway meant we were only a short drive (complicated a bit by ever-present road construction!) to everywhere--both downtown and Opryland.
We would definitely stay here again. At this price, the Hilton was a tremendous value.
