LOVE IT
By roxie, 08/08/09
My best friend and I stayed here, this was the best hotel. The room was great and clean, ours had a couch and a nice bay window that you could open to get the great bay breeze at night (window did not open enough for a child to fall out) The bath room very clean, breakfast was great although you have to contend with a little bit of a crowd - still wasnt bad. Staff very nice. Walking dist to atractions on wharf, you do have to pay a parking fee.

Great Place to Stay!!!
By Nancy, 07/14/09
The hotel was a great place to stay while in San Francisco. The people at the front desk were awesome. The breakfast was good. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Very quiet. Close to Fisherman's Wharf and lots of sightseeing things to do. The shower was great except for the small shower head and pressure. I could live with it. Other than that, it was pleasant. Thanks to all the staff for such a good stay.

expensive, and an unwanted extra
By DT, 05/15/08
The Holiday Inn Express on Fisherman's Wharf is pretty much what you expect for a hotel in a tourist area. The free breakfast is transfats in several different flavors, the room is quite small, but clean and well appointed. Not given in the hotel rate was the 42.00 a day parking fee. However, something normally taken for granted, assures that I will never return to this place. Free Wi-FI is what the ad says, and it is in fact free. It is also through SuperClick, who does tracking and site sniffing on every move you make on the internet. Their tracking is so intrusive (back button will not work, etc) that I finally hauled out my AT&T card and stopped using the hotel system. This is the first time I have run into "SuperCLICK", but a quick google of the name shows it probably will not be the last. Yet another thing to ask about when making reservations.

Brilliant.......except the parking fee
We love this hotel. Close to everything and the cheapest for the area. Breakfast is nice. Parking fee is ridiculous. $30 per night! Loose the Valet and charge $15, that would be better and more respectable If you are not driving this hotel is perfect. not so much if you are driving

Too many nagatives in this experience.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
Check in was plesant, service friendly. I thought the value was horrible. Ive stayed in beaufiful rooms in the city for the price of this tiny cracker box of a room. The bed was the worst part, so hard and uncomfortable, my neck hurt in the morning. The bathroom light burned out while I was in the shower and had to finish in the dark. Breakfast, where do I start. I guess its not the hotels fault, but I have never had an experience quite as bad. Hundreds of Europeans like "sharks on a feeding frenzy". I was pushed out of the way everytime I tried to get to the counter to get my breakfast. Because of this i wont ever go back. The Location was good, but thats about the only positive.

Very Enjoyable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/07
We very much enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express Fisherman's Wharf. The location was wonderful and the hotel staff was very helpful and efficient. The continental breakfast was well maintained and had everything to start our day. The rooms were clean and what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. We highly recommend this hotel while in San Francisco.

lesson learned
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/07
I LEFT MY BURBERRY JACKET IN THE CLOSET THINKING IT WAS SAFE SINCE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE AN ACCESS TO THE ROOM ARE MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND THE STAFF.I LOST MY JACKET SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO LEAVE ANY BELONGINGS DURING YOUR STAY THERE.NOW I UNDERSTAND THE REASON WHY THEY ARE PUTTING ALL THE SIGNS AROUND THE ROOM TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS.

You get what you pay for (and then some)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/07
This place was one of the cheaper ones and frankly the best. Be warned that some of the reviewers (mostly the negative reviews) are talking about the Holiday Inn NOT the Holiday Inn Express (they are within a 1 minute walk of each other) and the difference is night and day. We had wonderful service and if Brandy is at the front desk you're in for 5 star friendly service. You will not get better for your money. I will say the parking is expensive, but you can park half a block away on the street for free. When we were there a couple from the Marriott ($$$$) came in and were at awe and how much better this place was and so much cheaper. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel
By , 02/21/07
This hotel is located in a very pleasant area of SF, from a short walk from the Fisherman's Wharf and 2 blocks from the cable cars stops. Everything is well-maintened and clean. Nice breakfast. Inconvinient: far from the subway.

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/06
The location was great. It was an easy and interesting walk to Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel was attractive and very clean. I felt like I was staying in a higher end hotel than a Holiday Inn Express. The staff was helpful and nice. The room size was small and the price was a little high (especially for parking), but I guess those things are normal for San Francisco. The internet connection worked well. The hotel has no pool, but guests can use the pool at the Holiday Inn down the street. I would love to stay here again.
