Days Inn Sallisaw, Sallisaw

I liked the fact that this hotel was willing to give discounts to those attending the JW convention. however when i booked in may for our july convention i asked if there was a microwave fridge and pool i was told yes and they had a continental breakfast too. i was excited they still had rooms available and booked. i called 2 or 3 days before our arrival date to make sure we still had our reservation and to ask if the pool was indoor or outdoor. i was told the pool is closed. i asked when it would be open she said not for a year. i told her i will call back in a minute. i talked it over with the others attending with me and they anted a pool for the 4 kids and under the JW agreement with the hotel as long as we canceled 24 hours in advance. so icalled and spoke to a man this time who says they do have a pool but it is 2 blocks away and we would have to walk i still said no. he then said they MIGHT have to charge me for one night. i said Might or might not? he said either might or might not so i said well i hope you lean with the might not because i reserved this room under false information given by your staff. i forgot to tell him that he couldnt charge because of the jw agreement wish i would have remembered at that time. needless to say they charged my card 2 times and now i can not pay my electric bill and had to borrow money to buy diapers. we are a low income family and it took us 3 months to even save for this trip. i called to complain and the manager refused to give me any of the owners info so i could talk to him/ or her he then said they MIGHT refund my money they never did. i am still going through the BBB and Days Inn complaint dept to get things resolved. I hope they do what is right and not let their greed get in the way.
