Days Inn Neptune, Tinton Falls

I picked this motel based on the prior positive review and boy was that a mistake. Maybe the management has changed? The current "manager" is some dude named Yogedesh Patel - useless, totally useless. I had business in Neptune and this hotel was convenient being on RTE 33 but other than that, nothing else went well. List of problems - 1) I booked a room with a king size bed and a non-smoking room. Check in is at 2PM. Because of traffic going over the GWB in NYC, I did not get to Neptune until 4PM - they gave away my room! The only room with a king left was the 'handicapped' room (#109) on the end - which has a big bathroom but a smaller room! 2) Was there 3 days - not once did housekeeping come in to clean the room OR EVEN GIVE ME FRESH TOWELS TO SHOWER WITH! 3) Vending machines ate my money and gave me the incorrect products! 4) The room had a very bad smell to it - like fecal - turns out the shower drain was a bit 'backed up'. Nice. 5) Asked for a wake up call for all 3 days, only got once on one day - overslept another day and missed a critical business meeting. Do yourself a favor - stay at a hotel on the beach if summertime or go to one of the hotel chains outside Neptune. The rooms here are small and the service is the WORST I have ever experienced. Mr. Patel only seemed to want my money for the room in advance and then after that, any issues I had he did not seem to care about.
