A Waste of your time and money
I booked a 3 bedroom condo with roof spa and upon arrival found the spa was not working. The refrigerator wasn't functioning correctly and the shower was deciding which temperature was most suitable of it's own accord. The first hours of my stay were spent waiting for things to be fixed. I don't mind paying top dollar for top quality service but this hotel simply is unable to deliver. I have stayed at hotels around the world and worked in 5-star properties in both Europe and Australia. This is not even close to 5-star. It is how complaints are dealt with that sets top hotels apart. The head in the sand approach is for amateurs. Does it seen unreasonable to expect functioning appliances in the most expensive rooms in the hotel? Would it not be practical to check prior to guest arrival that things in the room actually work? This is too much to ask according to the General Manager of the hotel, Sandra Tikal, who in response to my letter of complaint offered no apology but with mangled grammar, indicating her spell-checker may also be faulty wrote, "I do hope you will consider to stay with us again". Sandra offered no assurance that anything would be different if I did, and could offer no reason why I would not be better off across the road at the Sheraton.
