location was perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Birthday Getaway @ The Peninsula
By Eseena, 06/12/07
NAMASTE, like: Some times there are "Hole Tears" and "Hotels", this is truly a Hotel, Upscale, Classic Sleep and Peaceful, Calming view of the Waters-(Lake Michigan) very elegant place to stay, I love it. Because I felt like I was home. Dislike: I dislike leaving, because I enjoyed & embraced Q minute I stayed @ the Peninsula Eseena

I have just stayed at the Peninsula for a Christmas shopping trip to Chicago. This hotel is the niciest hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are HUGE, very clean and very tastefully decorated- plus they have amazing gadgets I have never seen in a hotel before. The large bathroom, separate shower, TV in the bathroom, and controls for the entire room at one station beside the bed were amazing. Book a car through the hotel to get to and from the airport and you will be greeted at the door and do not have to go through the check-in process. They meet you at the car and take you straight to your room. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to EVERYONE.

Excellent!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/06
This hotel is one of a select few that set the standard for all others. The physical accomodations are very impressive, and the staff is polite and helpful. I have recently stayed at several major downtown Chicago hotels while in the city on business. This is one that I would highly recommend, along with the Four Seasons. The only problem with this hotel is that after visiting, you will know what luxury travel truly should be. And, if you end up anywhere else, you might be dissapointed when it doesn't measure up.

I wouldn't return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/06
I stayed at the Peninsula Hotel when my daughter got married there. I'm reading the reviews and can't believe people are saying how great it is. The employees must be writing these reviews. The air conditioning never worked in the bedroom. It was August and miserable to dress in a hot room. The bedroom was so small. The lobby is lovely, the bedroom lacked luxury for the price of the tab. I highly recommend the Park Hyatt, a block away. So much nicer!
