I loved my stay. The staff was amazing even though there were some very rude people in front of me. Yelling at the clerk and cussing! Rude! The clerk handled it great. Nice job! I too left something there and had to have it mailed to me. Took 2 days to get in touch with the HOUSEKEEPING manager who handles that all. ( She had some days off) but when I got ahold of her she was very nice and they even paid my return shipping. Funny how the other reviewer said that she had so many problems...the clerk at the desk said to me " The housekeeping manager deals with lost and found, I can transfer you and she will get back to you asap" Maybe you should listen? I never have a problem here and love it. So thank you crew at ffi. You're very helpful. Thanks for all the help on the internet by the way! That's the one thing I will say is aweful. But alas, it's not their fault. The pool was great and the breakfast is as usual. Maybe add a little more hot food?? That's the end of my rant. Thanks for all the great service and conversations!

I stayed at the hotel for one night for a wedding. I left behind an item and called them the day I left. I was told to call back the next day to talk to the housekeeping manager. 3 days later and 6 calls, I was told each time "call back the next day, the housekeeping manager is not here". On the 4th day, I finally was able to talk to someone. This person said she would call me back in 10 minutes after looking for my item. I didn't get a call back. If you stay here, make sure to triple check before leaving because if you leave something behind, you will get no help from the staff!

The hotel was very clean and well maintained, just what I needed for my business trip. I do not have a full 5 stars on value because like everyone else I wish my stay was always cheaper. Highly recommend this hotel

I don't have any idea what everyone else is talking about with bad management and the poor service. Everyone was very nice and the rooms were very clean and pretty! Breakfest was very good. If you don't like the FREE food your eating stop eating it. They have cereal ( brand names) make your own waffles, muffins ext. They have very nice TV's in the room. The pool was kept very clean so was the spa. Also they had a very bad snow storm where a lot of the crew had to call out. The six people that were on were making sure all the overnight guests were okay and making sure they didn't need anything. They were out side from 7 am until about 4-4:30 pm digging out guest cars and keeping it clear. Oh by the way, managers were out there helping. So for your "poor service" maybe your poor attitudes didn't help. Thank you so much Fairfield Inn for all that you did! will be staying with you anytime I am in town.

Management had no clue as to when rooms were being remodeled. Asked that I relocate into a suite at no additional cost, took 6 hours to move personal items since I am relocating to the area. I had made it clear it would be significant burden but was willing to do, the Manager told me I could remain in the suite at no additional charge. The very next nite they asked that I relocate back into a regular room. There was no consideration of my circumstances or any offer to remedy the situation. I also contacted Mariott Customer Care with no help from them. Even one of Fairfield Inn's Staff consider Management there to be incompetent. Best thing I ever did was to move to Hampton Inn, Pleasant Valley Road, Manchester, CT - brand new hotel that excelled in customer service.

The list of good is short, the list of bad is long. Good: The property was recently remodeled and it is one of the nicer looking Fairfield Inn & Suites I have stayed in. The breakfast attendant was pleasant. Bad: The staff (management included) was outright rude and condescending. I had multiple issues with my reservation and was treated poorly both over the phone and at the desk. I would not stay here again for that reason alone. Directions given by the desk to area attractions sent us on a wild goose chase and wasted an hour of our time (and gas) The pool was a steamy 92 degrees, not exaggerating. It felt like a warm bath and was quite unpleasant on the hot day that we were there. We went in to cool off and instead felt worse. Considering the number of hotels in the area, including other Marriotts, I would highly recommend any of the other local hotels rather than giving this property your business. Residence Inn's offer an even greater breakfast buffet or the full service Hartford Airport (where we went when we decided to leave this hotel early) was wonderful, courteous and all around great in comparison. Until new management comes in, it is not worthy of your patronage.
