Nice place for no frills hotel

We stayed here when we visited Washington DC. It was cheaper here, slightly outside of all of the hub bub of the DC area. Definitely barebones but comfortable enough. Just took us 15 minutes to get to the city. Lots of restaurants nearby and along the route to DC. It is in a residential area, a little difficult to find at night.

Nice low cost hotel

This hotel is in a quiet suburban area but yet close enough to restaurants that you could walk. Compared to a Homestead Suites this hotel is far better. I stayed in a Homestead 30 days before moving here and I like this place much more. They have free DIY laundry, a pantry, approx 100 channels on the TV, HBO 1,2. They have a DVD and VCR combo player in the room and they have DVDs at the front desk to borrow. They also have a small exercise room to. Remember they have a kitchenette with a full size fridge and dishwasher. No oven but they do have a cook top and microwave. Of course you will pay about $10-$12 a day more than they Homestead Suites, but it is worth it. Oh yeah, if you are a priority club (Holiday Inn) member you get points for your stay. By time I leave her it will have been 50 days and it has been great. Also, the staff seems to be nice. At least the ones I have met.

It will be a long time before I go here again...

1. Desk clerk could barely understand me and had my reservations confused. 2. Room was clean enough, but I didn't know about the fact that housekeeping only cleaned the room once a week. 3. The "high speed internet" was the worst I have ever experienced...barely operational most of the time. I could not depend on it. And they had no business center. 4. Asked for shampoo on the second day and it still hadn't arrived when I checked out on the 4th day. 5. The hallways always had a strong, unpleasant food odor from guests cooking in their rooms. 6. The 'convenience store' was nothing more than sodas, cookies and candy for the most part. 7. The remote control for the television set worked less than half the time.

I love this hotel!

What struck me on my first visit was the peaceful appearance of this hotel. That feeling continued when I entered and was warmly greeted by the desk clerk. Upon discovering it was my first visit to one of their properties, the clerk informed of all the amenities and services available, and asked to be informed if I needed anything else. My room was more than I expected. It was completely clean, fresh smelling, and roomy with additional storage space available, if needed, for a longer stay. The furniture, especially the bed, was very comfortable. I was able to open the windows and enjoy the peace and fresh air of the early morning, which added to my enjoyment. There is a 24-hour convenience store in this property. The location is very convenient to a wide variety of stores and restaurants. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
