Super 8 Shepherdsville Ky, Shepherdsville

I stayed at the Shepherdsville Super 8 because I had broken down on I-65 at about 1 AM. The AAA tow truck driver brought me to the motel. The desk clerk was very understanding and I received a lovely, clean room with a huge bath on the first floor. The bath had a jacuzzi, but it was out of order and the room was priced fairly to reflect that. Everything else in the room was in working order including heat, lights, phone (free local calls, and AOL has a local access number). The room was also tastefully decorated. I stayed two nights while my car was being repaired. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance, including mom-and-pop Chinese restaurants (several), Sonic Drive In, Shoney's, Waffle House, and more. There is a large Kroger Supermarket behind the motel, and lots of gas stations. The Super 8 staff in Shepherdsville is great; very friendly and cheerful. There is a very nice little indoor pool; the water was just wonderfully warm and the pool is open until 10 PM. Other nice things included vending machines with reasonable prices and good selection and a large meeting/breakfast room with donuts, cereal, etc. and coffee and juice included in the AM. The motel is convenient to the highway and to the small town of Shepherdsville where I was able to get good car service. Definitely would stay there again!
