CLEANING SERVICE STEALS I DON'T RECOMMEND!
By Anna, 8/9/11
We spent there 2 nights on July 2011. When we returned to our room after the first day our refrigerator was empty. We left there our cold drinks: pepsis, big botels of water and some food. Our cup from Floryda was gone too. After I spoke with front desk they told me to wait the cleaning lady next day. They sad she is new. She didn't show up the next day and they couldn't reach her on the phone. I payed for the hotel and left, they told me they will speak with her about it and let me know. I called the hotel a few days later they told my she came back to work and she doesn't know anything. I told the receptionist I would like the owner to give me a call back and I would like to someone take responsibility for what was happpen. Nobody ever call me. The cleaning lady still works there.

Near the Beach/Restaurants. Nice Lodge/hotel
By Guido4Life, 7/20/09
Dont listen to the negative reviews. They are probaly upset BW doesnt accept debit cards. King rooms are large with sofa, desk, mircowave, fridge. Has a pool/hot tub. Continental Breakfest has bagels. The motif is Montana hungting lodge with wooden bears outside of your windows on the third floor! 10 mins from the beaches on Lake Michigan. Ecletic mix of customers ranging from families to Bikers. At this price range it is the best in Holland. Walk to Panerra, Chinese/Japanese restaurants. DoubleTree and Fairfield are almost double the price. Obviously nicer, but further away. I stayed for a total of 4 weeks on biz in 09.

Worst hotel I have been to
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/16/09
The manger was very very rude. After wards I went to Hampton and Holiday Inn and they were exceptional. I thought it would be better service there, but after how he treated me, I will NOT recommend anyone there. The manager was rude rude rude! I have never in my life recieved service like that. The worst ever!

Pictures look better than reality
By Kathy, 8/7/07
I disagree with the review that said the building was in great shape. It seemed a little rundown to my husband and me. The room was spacious but didn't feel clean. Breakfast was ok - nothing fantastic. The checkout staff woman was friendly and helpful, but the checkin staff woman was not so friendly. The location was great to get around - South Haven, Saugatuck, and Grand Haven. I doubt if we'd stay there again.

The Holland Best Western puts Best In The Name
By The Q, 6/20/07
The staff was very occomadating and the facility was top notch. After booking on line; the reservations for the type of room reserved had to be changed becuse the hotel was renovating the room. The staff upgraded the room and had everything taken care of so quickly that my fiance was unaware that there was any issue. The staff was professionally dressed, courteous, and with my travels around the globe I have never been more satisfied with a hotel! Thankyou for a great stay.
