Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Meridan, Meridian

I was visiting my children who live in Meridian for the week of Thanksgiving. We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights, the staff was great, the room was big and very clean even though we told the staff not to worry about cleaning it while we were there, they did give us clean towels every day. The breakfast was good as well. I am going back in May for my sons graduation and I am sure we will stay there again. The boys really like the place.

The room was nasty and smelly. One star is too much. There were dead worms in the corners of the room and a spider beside the bed. When i tried to kill the spider it got away and since the carpet was dark, i could not see it. Since it was late, i had just showered, and I was tired, i decided to check the bed to make sure the spider was not hiding there. When i lifted the pillows and started to pull the corner of the matress forward, I saw an open condom wrapper on the side of the matress. That was the final straw. I told the lady at the front desk and she gave me another room. Not to mention there were cobwebs in th shower. The interesting thing was that the bed was made up when i entered the room. So either the employees had done that and made up the bed afterwards, or they do not change the sheets at that hotel. Whatever the reason, that place should be shut down.

I really enjoyed myself at Microtel Inn and Suites. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the employee's made me feel welcome. I give you guys 5 thumbs up!!!!!!

The first mistake that I made was booking this hotel through Yahoo travel. I've since learned that Yahoo travel uses Travelocity, which I will never use again either. I booked and paid $89.95 online and saw that the money was taken out of my checking account the same day; no big deal, except that Microtel tried to charge me again. If that wasn't bad enough, Microtel was only attempting to charge me $70 which means that I wasted $20 by booking through Yahoo travel! I showed the management staff at Microtel that I had prepaid but they were extremely rude and condensending. I left without signing their receipt because I had an appointment. A couple of hours later Microtel calls to admit that it was their mistake and I didn't owe any more money. Aside from all of this, there was no shampoo in the bathroom, no counter top space to put bathroom items, the beds were hard and the rooms were noisey. Learn from my mistakes.....call directly to the hotel for reservations and don't stay at Microtel!!

This place was not very clean, especially for families with small children. The rooms were small with no fridge or microwave. There is no pool which was false advertisement. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. Would not recommend staying here.

One of the maids was a bit abrupt, and I experience this only once.The rest of the Service Staff and Front Reception Staff very courteous and professional.

This Hotel was very clean and rooms are good size. The staff is very friedly and helpful. The Suites are real nice. Good breakfast. Convienent location. I would stay here again!
