The Tower Hotel, Niagara Falls

This hotel immediately had a stench of urine. The elevator did not work. The man at the front counter suggested that the only good food near was down the street at a Denny's in a different hotel. The hallway vents looked as if they were hanging on by only a screw. Our bathroom was small, had mildew and rust. In many parts of the room it appeared as if things had been pulled out of the sockets and not replaced. Tears in the wall paper. We got a discounted price of $65 dollars but came to find that there is a local coupon where you only have to pay $39 dollars a night. Would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for our 2 year anniversary. It was both of our first times being in Niagara. The view was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would go back in a second!!!

Ok, let's not kid ourselves. Unless you are a cheap-low life that doesn't care where you lay your head down. This place is a complete dump! A dump; you hear me? I made reservations a month in advance... The "receptionist" made it seem like there was only one room available during the dates I was traveling. So, I booked it... I made it into Niagara at midnight, tired and ready to hit the sack. Boy, what a surprise. I told the wife to wait in the car and I would check us in. What found that the place was deserted. It smelled life urine and cigarettes. Like the other reviewers, the elevator was not working. The bellboy was something out of a Five fingers of Death karate movie. Japanese dude with one tooth in his 90s.. I went upstairs first to see the room. It was small, smelled like an odor I can not mention on this website and there was contraction workers drilling on the same floor where this particular room was located. The view was assume, but the room was horrible! I wouldn't leave my worst enemy in that room. I noticed that the entire building was vacant also. I don't know what kind of laws they have in Canada about hazards, But in New York City we have build codes. And brother, this place sure wrote the book on how to break them. I returned to that one tooth dude, asked for a credit on my debit and canceled my reservations immediately. I took my wife and my chances and went across the street to the Sheraton and was accommodated at the last minute but at a 5 star hotel. It was worth it... I was comfortable and so was the Mrs. The Minolta hotel is nothing but a big scam and a dump. If you was to take pictures from upstairs, it's fine. But don't put you back on the walls, the bugs might take advantage of you.

We were one or two rooms away from the perfect view of the falls, but given the shape of the hotel, half of our room faced the next hotel, so we usually had the curtains half open or fully closed. Given that we booked a really expensive Fallsview room for our honeymoon, we were disappointed. The location is great, but the staff seemed a bit cranky. The view from the restaurant was good, but I'd recommend bringing a beer to the observation floor and relaxing whether you're staying at the hotel or not (careful, this is probably not legal). You'll at least save a few hundred staying at another hotel to bail yourselves out of jail. Other than that, the breakfast was poor and our phone never worked, but The Falls & Niagara-on-the-lake made up for it.

From the outside, the hotel isn't much to look at, but who cares about the outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the view out of our room was great. The room was clean as was the washroom, although the pillows on the bed were not comfortable for me. The only real negative was that the room was pretty small, but we weren't in the room too much because there was so much else to do. We walked everywhere from the hotel because it was all so close.

Without question, the best view available in the entire Niagara Falls area can be found at the Ramada Plaza Fallsview Hotel. My wife and I went up for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The cost was low compared to the incredible experience of looking down at the horseshoe falls. Its true, when it was clear we could see all the way to Buffalo, and the view from the panoramic windows gave the feeling of flying almost. We have been to Niagara Falls before, but the Ramada Plaza Fallsview was the best place we have been to in the area. The staff was more than friendly and welcoming, with good advise on local hotspots, restaurants, and neat out of the way things to check out. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, I can't say enough good things about this place.

The views of the falls are the BEST. I've stayed in all the hotels overlooking the falls - this is by far the best view you will get !!! The rooms were luxuriously laid out with romatic canopy bedding , and classy - just lovely decor. The restaurant is also wondeful. Again, phenomenal views and great , delicious cuisine. Nice variety. Breathtaking lobby ! Walking distance to all attractions and restaurants. Adorable gift shop with gifts you actually enjoy giving.
