Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas I Drive Orlando, Orlando

The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

A great place for the whole family!! The pool was super for our young children and the amenities were great. Only thing that we had trouble with was getting our luggage out of the condo, as there were no luggage trolleys available, and the elevators were very slow.

We stayed here back in October 2006 and had a fantastic time. We rented a two bedroom villa through British Airways Holidays for two weeks. Our villa was wonderful! It had a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and waste disposal, plus a laundry room with washer and dryer. The décor was superior as were all fixtures and fittings. The beds were wonderful. It was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Our children both had their own double bed in the second bedroom. All the rooms were spacious with large televisions. The view from the screened balcony was very pretty, overlooking the lake. We ordered take away from various places and were delivered to our door no problem, the security guys always rang us to check before they would let them in through the barrier. All the staff on the Sheraton Reception desks were excellent, very friendly and helpful. There was just one bad point regarding the sales pitch from the sales team. They push hard and then harder still! Don't get reeled in! We went along just to get the promised $75 for turning up and witnessed some people being humiliated for not wanting to sign on the dotted line. It really is a great location. Nearby are supermarkets, restaurants and a superb outlet mall plus all the major theme parks.

This place had it all! We were there for 9 days. There were 7 of us in all and 3 were small children. We had so much room to spread out, a tv in every room, a full service kitchen, washer and dryer, not to mention the fantastic pool! It felt like our own place! We will definately be back!

The Sheraton Vistana Villages was a great place for our family of four (two boys, ages 4 and 6) to spend a week while hopping around the themeparks. The accommodations were upscale enough to feel like you were in an adult environment, the pools were large enough to handle the number of visitors, and the location was fantastic! Even the pricing through Southwest Vacations was reasonable for a 2-bedroom/2-bath villa with a washer/dryer...about $500 less than we spend when we go to Hilton Head, SC. We stayed in the Key West section. After reading other reviews, I called ahead and requested that section. It even had its own pool, so if we didn't want to walk to the main pool (very nearby), we could just go downstairs. The recreational activities were plentiful and if the kids were older, they would have used the ping pong, billiards, arcade, and other activities even more. The only downside to the property is that there isn't a better restaurant on-site...but there are plenty within a few miles in any direction and it looks as though much more development is underway within 2 miles. If we go to Orlando again, I can't think of a reason not to stay here again!

We stayed at Sheraton Vistana Villages in mid-June for a week. We rented a two-bedroom apartment in Key-West building #12. Overall we were happy with the place and recommend it to families with children. What we liked: 1) The apt was very spacious and everything in it was brand new. Full kitchen with all tools and hardware, full stove, full fridge, washer and dryer, lots of closet space, two full baths PLUS a jaccuzi tub, three large TVs, large dining room table, screened-in patio with outdoor furniture. 2) They cleaned our apartment every day and asked us if we were happy with house-cleaning. 3) The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. 4) The complex & grounds were very well kept and groomed. 5) The hotel pool was very inviting to children of all ages. There were activities planned for kids at pool side (and other places). Our kids (3.5 & 7) took part in tie-die shirt-making and loved it. 6) Location is very close to theme parks and Downtown Olrando. Dozens of resturants within 5 miles, a large grocery store and CVS within 2 miles. 7) Wireless internet in our room was very much appreciated. Watch out, it is only available in a couple of the bldg complexes, not all. Call the resort to find out and try to get the room in these blgs if it matters to you. What we did not like: 1) The hotel guest services offered us to take a 90-minute presentation about vacation ownsership in exchange for three 50% off coupons for future stays at Sheraton (including this village) and $75 cash. They told us the coupons have no blackout dates and can be used at ANY Sheraton resort. It turned out the coupons DID have black out dates, were "subject to availability" only, and applied to Sheraton HOTELs and NOT the RESORTS (like this one). So we were quite disappointed at the lies to get us to sit in on the sales pitch. The Vacation Ownership Exchange program is a total rip-off at $25K plus $800 a year in "maintenance fees". Stay away from this presentation. 2) Our room was not ready till 6 PM, while we had arrived at 4 PM (their normal check in time). But they were very nice and apologetic about it. The room was worth waiting for, it was in a superior bldg (Key West, bldg 12). 3) The on-site restaurant is overpriced and below average for food quality. Stay away, if you can. Overall, we were very happy with this stay and would recommend this place to others and will probably stay here again in the future.

Location is very good, if you drive. Value and cleanliness of our room is low. We had booked a suite with a big balcony facing the pool in one of the older buildings. The newer phases were opened but constructions were still going on and we, mistakenly, chose to stayed away from those newer buildings. Our room was smaller than expected (as seen from the published photos) and the bathroom, oh well, looked and felt like a 15-year old bathroom in a 15-year old condo. The bathtub in our room needed a bit of cleaning and disinfection...although we didn't anticipate to take baths but only showers. We ended up going to a near-by drug store and bought a huge bottle of Javex and did some cleaning and disinfection before we took our first shower. We stayed there for 8 nights and we had paid the daily housekeeping service but twice our rooms were not done at all. Calling front desk or housekeeping hotline did not help - because they would only perform housekeeping according to their schedule. Oh well... Overall speaking, this is NOT what you would expect from a Sheraton-grade "hotel" (or whatsoever you'd like to call it). They don't honor your Starwood Preferred Guest status there neither. Some suggestions: a) check the room before you move in - if you don't like what you see , go back to the front desk and negotiate a deal or a room exchange. b) avoid the older buildings.

My parents are time share owners there. We went to visit them a few years ago before it was taken over by Sheraton. At that time, our kids were 4 and 5. They loved it! The pools were amazing, our timeshare was huge! We are planning to return there next spring. One drawback- time share owners are not happy that it has been opened up to the public- for those of you who are not share owners- this place is gorgeous and you are lucky!

We really enjoyed our stay there and bought a time share with them. If would be nice if they had additional amenities like their sister resort.

My family has a time share @ Vistana, we have stayed here almost every time we have been to Orlando. One year we stayed @ the quality inn and our Vacation was not the same after staying@ Vistana. If I am in Orlando this is the only place I want to stay at. The place is beautiful, its close to all the attrations and its very comfortable for the entire family. It doesnt hurt that the master bedroom has a jacuzzi either. We even took a few days just to hang out @ the resort and you dont feel like you are missing anything. There are enough activities everyone can enjoy. I highly recommend this place. I would even pick this place over any of the Disney resorts.
