Below the \"Sheraton\" standard
This resort does not live up to the usual Sheraton standard.
1) When we first checked in, the carpet was dirty. Then we wiped the dining chairs (which have vinyl surfaces) and found the towel visibly dirty. Not sure how long they had not been cleaned.
2) The weekly housekeeping service at the villas does not include changing the bed linens. We stayed there for two weeks and were told that we could wash our own sheets since there are the washer, dryer and a pack of detergent in the room. Or we could pay a fee for them to provide that service. Never heard of such a ridiculous thing before!
3) The tub and the shower stall were also not cleaned during the housekeeping visit, which we later learned was supposed to be a "tidy up" service only.
4) There is little or no sound insulation at all. We could hear our neighbours around, be they stomping around, taking a shower or pulling their chairs over the tiled floor at breakfast time. It's almost like being in a cruise ship's cabin. Fortunately we went during a slow week and the resort was not full. Otherwise the noise nuisance would be unbearable.
5) The staff at the front office does not seem to be too well trained. They don't have a uniform understanding of the resort's rules and practices, and you could get various answers for the same question, depending on whom you ask.
The only saving grace is that if you complain, most of the staff usually respond as best as they can. However, I don't think I want to stay there again because I don't want to wash my beddings on my vacation! That should be already included in the price of the resort rental.
