Town Hall Inn, Lead

I walked into this historic building and saw where the mayors' office, Judges chambers, deliberation room, etc. were 100 years ago. Then I made myself very comfortable in the very large auditors office (even back then they needed a lot of space for an auditors office) This was the place where everything happened, ( I learned that the gallows had been located behind city hall.) Aside from its' interesting history, I found it charming, comfortable, and I slept like a baby. It has the old fashioned registers for heat and they sometimes made some noise, not enough to bother me though.

My room was huge! I loved that this Inn played up its historic roots. Each room had a cheeky title like, "Mayor's Office" or "Judge's Chambers." It's hard to describe just how tall the ceilings are. I felt like I was visiting New York, my head couldn't help but drift up once I walked into my room (that's not a bad thing). There are a couple quirks like the old radiator heaters make some noise so if you need absolute silence AND you're staying here in the winter that could be a little distracting but otherwise everything was rather charming and only added to the appeal of this place. Can't wait to go back.
