Comfort Suites South, Austin

i have stayed at this hotel several times in the past nice staff, they know the area pretty good and now so do I thank you. And renovations are coming out wonderfuly. I noticed new carpet, bathrooms have been updated, some paiting done here and there. I notice when a person has a complaint they will tell a many people even a stranger. But when things are great you may tell your best friend and forget about the rest. Well outstanding service and a clean place I plan on stay many many more years at this hotel.

the rooms are dirty and the breakfast lady is very rude i arrived 5 minutes before breakfast was closed and she was already closing so i tried to get whatever i could but even though i was serving myself she continued to remove everything how rude.

This Comfort Suites must be posing as an imposter when compared to all other Comfort Suites hotels I've stayed at. 1) Pull out sofa is a twin bed. This is the case for all rooms. All other Comfort Suites I've stayed at are full-size. We didn't find this out until preparing to go to bed. We we're not happy. 2) Dirty room. Bathroom caulk around tub was either non-existent or moldy / dirty. Mold / mildew on ceiling above shower. The bathroom especially looked like a renovation job gone very bad. 3) Gecko in bathroom. Roaches in bathroom. Crickets in room. Bugs are a problem in this hotel! 4) Shower was lukewarm at best. Manager said they had a water heater problem, but it wasn't much better in the morning. 5) Location was fine, but I wish I had stayed at either the Fairfield or Spring Hill Suites just down the street. If this hotel is being / was renovated then they still have a lonnnnng way to go. Comfort Suites should be embarassed to have their name on this hotel. Stay somewhere else!!
