Don't stay if you don't want your things stolen!

I have stayed in the hotel with my friend for 2 nights and accidentally left our good quality 2 jackets and 2 pair of shoes in the closet. We called the Hotel 6 times, and their responses were very rude, neither receptionists, nor manager didn't return our calls, and finally we were told that nothing is found. We were not guessing that our things might be there, we know for sure that our belongings were in the closet and we saw cleaning lady in the room right after we left. Since her responsibility is not only to change beds but to check a closet as well, it means for us that she stole our belonging. The hotel staff does not want to do anything about this.

hotel nice. Guest service not

The hotel is a very nice hotel and has great amenities. I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing that was disapointing was the guest service. They need to work on making the guest feel welcome. and on being a little more professional. and assisting.
 
 
 
 
 
Nice place - just don't try to call it

Our company had made reservation and stayed there for a couple of weeks. Had no complaints about the rooms but customer service needs improvement. Several times tried to call the hotel directly and most of the time the phone is never answered.
 
 
 
 
 
Comfortable Stay

We stayed for five nights over the Labor Day weekend. We were in town for a wedding. We loved the beach and traveled either by foot or car - lots of available parking. Traffic to and from Santa Barbara was very manageable. The hotel was clean and comfortable - nothing fancy, but met our needs. The breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts we've encoutered. The pool was small, but the landscaping is beautiful. Staff were friendly, but most of the housekeepers we encountered didn't speak English. The price doubled on the holiday weekend, but week day rates were reasonable.

A LOVELY PLACE TO STAY

We stayed there for 2 nights, and it was very nice. Close to the beach. I loved the bed linens; they were so wonderful and so soft. The actual beds were very comfortable with thick mattresses - slept great!! The breakfast in the morning was actually pretty impressive. Good coffee too! Friendly staff, and love the complimentary guest computer in the lobby. Very kid friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Just a stone's throw from SB

The HIE Carpinteria was a pleasant surprise. Due to the lack of rooms at the Santa Barbara Holiday Inn, we were directed to this location. The room was quite large with nice furnishings, very clean! The bathroom could use an update- not a big deterrent. There was a handy fridge to keep snacks cool, always a nice feature. And the fact that we saved approx. $80 while still a convenient 12 miles from SB was well worth it! The only disappointment for us was that when we called the front desk regarding a defective tv remote, we were told we had to go the front desk to get new batteries. My expectation is that when there is a problem, someone should be dispatched to the room. The continental breakfast was large, sweet rolls, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Best stay for the money around SB.

Through work, I've had the pleasure of staying at different Hotels in and around Santa Barbara. The Holiday inn located in Carpinteria is just a few miles away from central SB. It's a very clean and peacefull.

Will go back soon

Not on the beach, but close enough to walk everywhere. Nice place to stay. Good family beach. Restaurants close early on Sunday, so was hard to find somewhere to eat. But great place for a family vacation.

Many amenities, convenient location

The best thing about this hotel is the extras it offers... free high speed internet (if you have your laptop along), free breakfast, free morning paper, in-room refrigerator and microwave. My room was immaculate; the hotel has been renovated in the last couple of years, and it was quite comfortable. It is easy to find, just off the 101, with easy highway access. The only drawback is its proximity to the freeway; depending on where your room is, you may hear more traffic during the night.
