I gotta say this hotel really was great! P.S. if you use SweetHotelDeals. Net for booking this hotel they usually have some pretty good hotel deals at this time of the year!

On its way out...
By ,
Stayed this weekend, also a PL cheapie. Got what I paid for, which wasn't much. Smelly room, arrogant front desk. Never gonna push that button again. What a ripoff. Saw where the new JW Marriott is going up... then I knew why this one was so bad. On its way out... AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Avoid This Hotel
By ,
If all you want is a cheap room, this the the priceline.com four star participant in downtown Indy. Bid $45-$55 if there is nothing else big going on downtown. Beware of exhibortant charges for virtually every other service you need. Use the $16 parking garage up the street or at Circle Center and walk a couple of blocks and eat your meals away from the hotel.

Parking Policy Warning
By ,
Booked priceline.com for room reeking of cigarette smoke despite being "non smoking facility". Entered public parking 11:08 PM "Up to 24 hours" sign stated $28 (no problem); however, the desk clerk demanded my parking ticket and changed it to flat rate $28 requiring vehicle removal by 3 PM with a $10 penalty after 3 PM. I did not want to give him the ticket, but he flat out lied to me stating the only way back out of the public garage was to put the flat rate on the room bill and use room key to exit hotel. When I did leave the garage, there was the machine that would have taken the confiscated parking ticket and allowed payment by credit for a full 24 hours and a lot less money. Be warned of the dishonesty of this hotel - they are lying slease and lost my biz just to skim an extra $10 in parking charges that were never owed according to the parking company's contract.

Not Impressed
By ,
Facitliy was nice. Staff wasn't very helpful multiple times. Night staff didn't know about the morning restaurant schedule or prices (well, they thought they did). Room didn't get cleaned until close to 5pm. The pool area had a bad chlorine smell. Hot Tub made everyone cough! I know for a fact pools and spas are not supossed to have any odor. Over I would stay here again.

Steal of a deal and great stay:)
By ,
I booked through priceline, bid, they accepted about half price offer off normal weekend rate immeadiatly. I called on the way down to request a king (you had their choice with priceline, double, king or jr suite) The desk man couldnt have been more accomodating. Took care of that, you are greeted with service, wonderful iced water with fruit, towels in the foyer. Nice people! We went to room, it was perfect,. and there was a gift card for Starbucks welcoming us. It was all just so nice, easy, first class all the way. Walking distance to all the great resturants. Would do it again, in a heartbeat:)

Great Experience
By ,
The Marriott Downtown in Downtown Indianapolis was a great hotel. It is a great location. It is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, recreation, conventions. It is right by the RCA Dome and also the Baseball park. The Canal is nearby as well as events like the RCA Tennis Championships. The zoo is a short drive away as well as other tourist locations. Indianapolis is a city that is a secret in the Midwest. There is lots to do and it is a beautiful city.

Service with a smile
By ,
While the room itself was just a bit above average, the service was wonderful. All staff were so very helpful... sometimes too helpful. The hotel has a pool, a hot tub, a decent gym, and it's located in the heart of downtown where you can walk to most anywhere.

Service was BAD!
By ,
The hotel is clean and has nice rooms. Service is horrible.....I was part of a large group that was in Indianapolis, IN for a Mon - Fri training. Our group (80+ people) had a pre-arranged contract for the rate and blocks of rooms. The staff notified a 1/4 of us that they had over booked and they moved us somewhere else for a 1 nights stay....We were told their would be enough rooms the next day and there wasn't.....There was also a large group of kids from DECA that was loud and ran the hallways until late evening hours. This place needs to get a CLUE on how to run a hotel...internet is $9.99 each day and parking is $19.00 a day........

Not overly impressed...
By ,
This new facility is nice, and the property is well located, but the staff is not the most friendly and parking is a bit steep. I stay in downtown Indianapolis often on business meetings or simply for a night on the town and relaxation.
