Close to everywhere

I liked the location of this place. It is the closest to Airport, Fair Ground and Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site. My flight was delayed and I stayed in this Hotel. They provided me taxi from Airport and then guided me to spend time in city. Price worthy hotel.

Improved a lot

I love to stay in this Hotel. They have improved a lot after my last stay in Aug'07. Back side view is really great. Bathroom was good with new aminities. Front desk was help ful. They listenend to me. I had forgotton my morning kit. They provided me with Shaving kit , Tooth paste and Brush.

Needed a Shower

We were in town for a concert and this HoJo was very conveniently located. I could have overlooked the cigarette burn in the bedspread but when it was time to get ready for the show, I turned on the shower and there was barely any water coming out. Called the front desk & was told they'd send maintenance right away. After waiting 10 minutes, called again and requested a different room. I had booked a room with one king bed and was moved to a room with 2 queens. I was upset first of all that the shower didn't work and that it took so long for the maintenance guy to get there. But I think they should have offered to move us as soon as there was a problem. We had to request to be moved. Told the front desk that we were scheduled to leave at a certain time and were late due to not being able to get our showers & get ready. Next time, I'll stay a little farther away from the venue and will not stay at this hotel again.

thsi place is really old and the rooms are very out of date. this is the reason i didnt care for it. do not go here

Filthiest Hotel Ever

This was by far the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in! Bugs in the room, garbage from housekeeping in the courtyard, cobwebs in the eating area and room. Broken air conditioning, broken lockes on the door, broken toilet seat. Filth everywhere!!! It gives Howard Johnson's a bad name.

Wonderful Staff

This hotel was overall a decent value for the money. It needs slight renovation - our keycard required reprogramming, and the fan didn't work in our bathroom. However, the room was clean and fresh-smelling, the pool appeared clean, and the staff were very friendly, courteous and trustworthy. I checked out and forgot some clothes in the closet, and after I called to report this, the front desk folks Fed-Exed them back to me in New York at their expense. I just don't experience service like that very often any more. Thank you so much Springfield Howard Johnson!

Service was excellent. The room assigned hadn't been used for a while. I requested a move and was happy from that day forward. I stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Wireless Internet in the room. Service staff very helpful in locating sites, shopping and restaurants. I felt safe and comfortable. Not much better than that.
