Beachcomber by the Sea, Panama City Beach

We were greeted by a friendly face, and we were immediately put into a KING suite when we booked only a double, because the staff did not want us to have to wait. The continental breakfast was good, and we loved the pool! Wish there wasn't such a steep drop down off the sand because my knee is bad. That is the only bad point.

We spent 3 nights at the Beachcomber on vacation. The staff there was excellent. Very friendly & helpful. The rooms were very clean. The prices seemed kind of high to me, but probably comperable to other hotels on the beach. The elevators were fairly quick. (I've stayed at other hotels on the beach where the wait was extremely long for the elevators) What I didn't like was the parking situation. It wasn't bad if you went somewhere and got back early to find a parking space, but if you left and came back late, there was a chance you may have to park across the street in a gravel lot. Another thing I didn't like was the "continental breakfast". The only thing worth getting was the coffee, but then again, I didn't expect much to begin with, so that wasn't a major concern to me. I would recommend this hotel to others. We had no problems that would have made us unhappy with the hotel. Our reservations were accurate, the rooms were clean, everything was pretty much as described in the on-line add.

my wife and i use to stay at days inn my brother told us about beachcomber. it was a better experience and more roomier. i love to fish when we are in panamacity thank you good job

i live in delaware ,so to come to the beachcomber is a long drive, but once we get here, we know our room is clean, and the service is great. i was here last sept 07, and this year 2008 we are staying the month of october.

Stayed in September 2006, went back in September of 2007. There were more amenities in 2006 but rooms were still clean, service good, location perfect.

The staff was friendly, and very accomodating. We arrived very early after driving all night and they were wonderful. Right on the beach with a beautiful view. Very family oriented. We will definatley stary here again. The Browns

Was in Panama City for a business trip so my coworker and I thought that Beachcomber would be a great place. We were excited about the balconies overlooking the beach and the small kitchenette. Everything was average until it came to night time. I went to bed late and had been asleep for less than an hour when I realised I my skin was itching. Got up, turned on the lights and my worst fears were confirmed. Yes folks...bed bugs. Large, juicy ones crawling in my bed having a feast. Needless to say, I could not sleep the rest of the night even though I was in my coworkers room. Next morning, went and complained to the management and I was compensated for the room. In conclusion, I am now more cautious of ANY hotel I stay in from now on.

I enjoyed this place, it was clean and nice enought to stay in and not worry about things. I would stay here again. the pool was clean and we enjoyed our walk on the beach. Wish there could have been more eating places closer by but no big deal.

I was a little nervous about staying here but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were neat and cleaned daily. The only thing I disliked was the noise level late each night.

We absolutely loved EVERYTHING! We went down in May of 2005 and due to all the construction going on we got an AWESOME rate! We had no reservations, just showed up and got a great ocean view room. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed except our food! I was pleasantly surprised at how well kept everything was. It was an absolutely great spur of the moment vacation. I loved the pool. It was very comfortable and I am ready to be there again!
